So black people dont have insurance or $40.00 but white people do?

Health department, perhaps.
Never had one so IDK.

Why do people have to find a way to say that everything is racist?

I'm getting "racist fatigue".

And right here on page one in this very thread.
Did you actually read any of the articles you linked to?

If you did you would realize it's not as simple as just saying minorities should get the vaccine first. What are the circumstances around IF that decision is made? Because it's also not a done deal.

So let us say there is a shortage of the flu vaccine and we know that young children should be prioritized because they are more susceptible to the effects of the flu virus. Are you suggesting that we don't prioritize young children because even though they may be more likely to die or suffer long-term consequences, it wouldn't be fair to you?

African Americans are the most hesitant of all groups to get the covid vaccine. In a recent poll, only 34% said they would get it. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...ls/3744257001/

Yesterday I was delivering a few pounds of honey to a friend of ours and she was very excited. She said that now with a Biden/Harris administration and a COVID-19 vaccine nearing production, that for the first time we will have a socially responsible and equitable distribution of the vaccine. Instead of the old racist method of vaccine distribution.

Is it true that vaccines are only distributed in a racist manner? Or only to the ultra-wealthy?
This will be the first vaccine that I am aware of that will be handed out with race and political bent being significant determining factors of need. Big cities and people of color have higher risks with Covid 19.

White Honkies refusing to be vaccinated will make the above all the more easier.

(I hope using the word Honkies won't get me banned)

A lot of black people don’t want the vaccine either.

It should. It is a slur for a group of people based on their skin color. Its racist just like using the N word.

ive never heard the term racism flung around so freely in my entire life.

math is racist, systemic racism, blm..... on and on and on

so people are getting fed the f up, and i honestly feel it is CREATING racism where none ever existed.

i have lived a clean life and judged every book by its chapters. and something is wrong when i hear that word racism, and it now makes me sick, but for a different reason.

I’m going to go out on a limb and make an educated guess that there are fewer pharmacies and medical clinics in low income and majority minority areas and that what they do have available may get a lower distribution of vaccine. It’s likely not equitable, whether you blame racism or classism or something else, it’s likely not equitable.

I would say that the covid vaccine should be distributed first based on risk, if that means certain age groups and races get it before the rest of us, that is fine with me.
