Even without COVID, he’s still a malignant narcissist owned by the Russians who refused to learn even the basic duties of his job because he assumes he’s the best at everything already. The damage caused by his presidency goes far beyond the pandemic response (or lack thereof).
So lets say you met a wizard or something. They said “I can reset 2020, and make it so Covid never happens. Erased from existence. But the catch is, Donald Trump gets to win re-election.”
What would you say to that offer?
Covid and 2020 really showed how unfit he is for the role. He never grew with the responsibility of the office.
So no. Whether it was covid or any other national issue he’d fail. Given the lesson is learned, time to try another.
I know of people who died of Covid. I still live in a precarious situation with 2 compromised individuals in my household. So I would take a Trump second term over Covid 100 times out of a 100.

As long as part of the condition is that Trump gets impeached and removed during his second term for his tax crimes and violation of the emoluments clause. I have my disagreements with conservative policy but Trump, the person, is a criminal and the least-fit person to ever hold the office of POTUS.
Even if there was no Covid, I worry about how Trump would respond to whatever crisis he is faced with. From the beginning it's been pretty clear that Trump is in over his head and that any crisis that occurred under his watch would be a catastrophe.
I voted for Trump in 2020, but you would have to be fool to not take this wish, even if you hate Trump. COVID is a GLOBAL issue and it has made all of us suffer in more ways than one. It's actually interesting that you brought this up. When talking to my Grandmother yesterday, she brought up the election and COVID. She said, "Ya know, if COVID never happened, Trump would've won, regardless of the amount of people who wanted him out. We were in a great place before the pandemic, and I honestly think Biden would have never stood a chance."
Nope, the wizard would probably just erase COVID and trump while resetting the year. I seriously doubt you would be able to find a wizard that would allow trump to stay in office.
Personally if we are to engage in fantastic hypotheticals, I wish the Infinity Gauntlet exists so I could use it to snap out of existence 70 million Trump supporters. For that, I would endure another full year of Covid.
