You took a good point point about the speed of human development, tied it to an unsubstantiated point about this being the “final wave” (says who?), made a questionable point about the last 50 years vs. 200 years before that (okay, so you’ve got the digital information age, which is powerful and transformative, but more transformative than electricity, long-distance communication, aerospace innovations, internal combustion engines, Industrial Revolution making everything from manufacturing to agriculture more efficient and powerful, safe means of long-distance transportation?...I don’t see it, the difference in from 1970 to today is not nearly as profound as the difference in life from 1970 to 1770), and then you pretty much undid the thread by tying any value in your thoughts to ridiculous partisan rhetoric...”You’re all DINOSAURS if you disagree with me! (And all the -ists to boot, those too.) The future belongs to people who think like ME!”
Usurper Joe looks like something they found digging in Montana. Or maybe he's a nearly extinct species that can only survive in certain conditions in the dark recesses of Washington DC.
Redefining normalcy and tossing out norms that have worked for thousands of years based on being able to use a computer isn't progress or improvement. If weakening us is supposed to prepare us for the next wave, that can't be positive.
You don't get ready for a marathon or athletic competition by getting out of shape and becoming weaker. We're doing the exact opposite of what we should be doing, or we're being forced to do the exact opposite. Which would indicate we're going to be the victims of some kind of planned assault.
As I mentioned elsewhere, it is instructive to view opinions and perspectives different from one's own. I'm not going to argue with anyone, nor spend time defending my viewpoint. No one's mind is ever changed in the process.
