I think he'd be putting a target on his back that everyone who paid off student loans, or went to less expensive colleges, or skipped it altogether due to cost, would be keen to seek out

Agreed.

The people that have little education are more in need of money than those with a post-secondary education.

If the purpose is to stimulate the economy, the poorest Americans will spend the money faster that any other group.

And Biden is like, nope. Just like he and his administration are backtracking from their previous stance on all the illegals in our country.

I suppose that's par for the course for politicians like him. Say the 'right' things to keep your supporters happy but once in office backtrack and renege on all of them. And the pathetic thing is, people will still support the likes of him simply due to political affiliation.

'I’m going to get in trouble for saying this': President-elect Biden disputes Democratic debt cancellation plan

Quote:
President-elect Joe Biden cast doubt on a popular Democratic idea involving executive action that would cancel up to $50,000 in federally-held student loan debt for roughly 43 million American borrowers.

"I’m going to get in trouble for saying this," Biden told a meeting of news columnists on Wednesday, raising the Democratic argument that "the president may have the executive power to forgive up to $50,000 in student debt. Well, I think that’s pretty questionable. I’m unsure of that. I’d be unlikely to do that.”

That article says he still wants to forgive $10k!

So does that mean that anyone who attends college will get $10k of tuition paid for by the federal government going forward?

It is somewhat refreshing to see a Democrat president-elect tell the legislative bodies to their jobs and make laws relating to loan forgiveness if that's what they want. He has been clear on asking Congress for the 10k.

On the other hand, it is infuriating to see not just a senator but in fact the minority leader trying to shove the duties of law-making onto the executive.

The Left (Democrats) accused Trump of acting like a King yet he did NOTHING to indicate that. They are serial PROJECTORS who accuse others of what they do.
