It's comical how stupid the Trump "list of achievements" is when one of them is "brought peace to the middle east". Iran more powerful than 4 years ago. Al-Qaeda more powerful than 4 years ago. Taliban more powerful than 4 years ago. Islamic extremism growing more rapidly nearly everywhere in the world. Hate for the west is growing.

Um...assuming this is true (it's the NYT after all)-why is it an issue? Iran is an enemy of the US, a rogue power and a major state sponsor of terrorism. OUR president should be asking his experts what methods are available to destroy their enriched uranium stockpile and weapons development program. That's his JOB. He needs to at least know what the military is capable of before formulating a response. Guess what? Hillary, Barry and Joe would, if they are remotely competent, have asked the same question.

Trump has no problem padding himself on the back. I find great irony in this considering less than 7 days later it was announced the UAE had agreed to buy billions in weapons. Some 'peace'.

This is no secret. There naval, nuclear, and SPACE capabilities have expanded greatly.
Trump asked for options. So? Its not like he bombed them.
I bet we have military plans to take out Canada. its not like that means Canada is at all, or should be, worried about it. This is a big much ado about nothing. Now if Trump decided to actually strike that would be different. But its not.
