He's right, the planet will heal, and eventually, a new species will take over. Perhaps the internet will gain sentience and torture the last remaining humans...

What science? I haven't seen anything that says a warmer earth is bad for the planet. Some life will perish, other life will thrive. But on balance...who's to say what's "good" or "bad?"

I've seen plenty of science that says a warmer earth will change lots of stuff. But no science can say it's "Bad." That's strictly someone's opinion - and not science at all.
If the warmer earth somehow caused it to lose its orbit and fall into the sun - that would be "bad" for the planet.
Or if a black hole passed by and consumed our solar system - that would be "bad" for the planet.
Fewer people living on the coast? That's less profit for someone. The planet really does not care.

True but we're the first to industrialize. We're carbon building carbon-emitting machines.
