Californians prepare to descend on Georgia to fight for Democrats in Senate
The vast number of people who said they were willing to move to Georgia just so they can vote in the runoff election has prompted pushback from officials
Democrats moving to Georgia to vote in the Senate races
The headline is misleading. It's not about newcomers relocating to vote.
The issue is that campaign workers travel to states to work on campaigns. Both political parties do that. Between the two parties it could be hundreds of people.
In case nobody has though of it before, does anyone know WHY both parties are soliciting donations for the races right now? To fund campaigns, of course. These people are what that money is for, they will be very busy and need motels to stay in, meals and salaries. It's expensive.
The Republicans are pulling in people from around the country, including attorneys no doubt, and so are the Democrats. It has always been this way. So it's not 'carpetbagging', it's electioneering 101. Always like that.
And never before has a Senate Majority Leader actually denied the nominee of a sitting President the right to at least have a hearing and a vote.
You are the one believing lies if you can't accept actual facts about how McConnell stole a Supreme Court seat - which by the way, he boasts about, and doesn't deny
Abe Fortas never got a hearing and the Democrats controlled the Senate.
Harriet Meiers withdrew her nomination because the senate told W. they would not approve her.
There are lots of other examples of people who never got hearings and votes.
Right, Trump followed the constitution in appointing a Supreme Court Justice during his term in office.
Something Obama wasn't allowed to do, even though it was his right as a sitting president.
Anyone who says otherwise is a bald faced liar, too.
He nominated. The senate said no. That has happened many times before. Those are the facts. I don't know why you people have such difficulty understanding.
