In 48/50 states, if you don't vote in the majority, your vote counts for nothing and the remaining two states could theoretically decide the election. WHERE is this balance you speak of in that? One man, one vote on the other hand favors no party but each individual's vote carries equal weight.
And yes, the founding fathers were geniuses in making provisions for amending the Constitution over time as the country/conditions changed. We shouldn't be bound to a centuries old system without good reason.

so acribe 30% of the 55 EV to republican vote.
