It was spiking before. And from infection to symptoms that would lead you to get tested, we are just entering that window now.

This is spiking with or without celebrations on the left and protests on the right.

On a national scale, this isn't spreading due to either of those things. This is spreading due to the thousands of Americans that feel ill and still go about their daily business. It is about the thousands of Americans that contracted it and don't feel ill nor do they wear a mask. This is spread by the Americans wearing masks as a chin strap. This is spread by people that should sanitize their hands BEFORE they touch high frequency objects like door knobs as well as afterwards.

Was there some spread from Trump rallies over the summer and fall? Certainly. Was there spread from Biden rallies in the summer and fall? Hah - I guess not. Didn't Biden rallies only have like 5 people showing up or whatever Trumpers say. Even if there were - that's a drop in the bucket in relation to the choices that Americans make every day to not take this seriously enough.

For example, thousands of Biden supporters gathered when Biden was declared the winner. Many of them outside at least. Many of them wearing a mask - many without. But millions of Americans are going to gather inside in very close proximity for at least a day, Thanksgiving Day. Many of them coming from areas of high positivity rates. Many of them stopping at rest stops along the way - crossing paths with other Americans doing the same thing.

The spike is going to be from that. The spike from any Biden celebration is going to be blip in comparison to what's likely to come.

Just like they did with the "peaceful" protests in May and June.

Read it on the internet. must be true, eg?

COVID has been surging since October, especially in the upper Midwest. It was surging in every state that borders my own. It was only a matter of time.

Reportedly, the Covid mortality rate in North Dakota right, now, is the highest in the world. I don’t think the masses in this state took to the streets to celebrate Biden.

There were protests in nearly every community following Geo Floyd’s death in late May. Plenty of protests were hijacked by those who engaged in property damage, violence and looting. Yet, Covid was and remained on the decline.

There’s a difference between prolonged stationary contact and people who are on the move.

There’s a difference between prolonged indoor and outside contact.

Time of day is likely another factor. Those who gather in the wee hours tend to be more likely to be under the influence and a tad sloppy.

Bottom line, Covid is surging because too many choose to not take personal responsibility and rationalize it.

Gee, both Trump and Ted Cruz guaranteed that COVID would "go away" right after the election.

Were they wrong. Surely not?

Right wingers never fail to disappoint. If these guys want to claim that Biden Harris "celebrations" caused increases in cases then they need to admit that Trump and Cruz were full of crap with their cynical "COVID is all political" take.
