Nancy's dad was a right wing nut that influenced Reagan. Then he got the job with GE where they pretty much told him he best be sympathetic to the corporate world. Then when he was going to run for Gov of California it was all those old rich republicans that backed him.
Reagan's bread was buttered by the right wing once he married Nancy. It was more that than any kind of epiphany that he had.
Wish I could remember the 7 who pretty much did everything for Reagan. They everything for him from giving him the GE speech and the places to make it to managing his finances so he'd have no debt.
Both parties have corruption. Problem with Democrats though is they want to be involved in your life even more and it's IMO the one party that resembles a 1 World Government the most and that's when you start thinking biblical.
Even though there are things about the Democratic party I would change (the party needs a huge messaging overhaul), as long as the Republican Party is the party of theocratic fascism and authoritarianism, I will never vote Republican again.
Let's see what you say when the election is reversed and all the dems responsible are standing trial.
The upcoming reversal of the coup and all of the criminal trials are going to be bitter pills for the dems to swallow. Most dems will simply bury their heads in the sand and refuse to even acknowledge reality. They will try to tell themselves that the coup never happened.
SOME democrats (the few honest ones left) will admit the facts and leave the party. The party itself may cease to exist, as it will be able to be declared a criminal terrorist organization and dismantled. Democrat political items may be as collectible as Whig Party items.

I don't expect this to materialize all that quickly -- inasmuch as Trump is every bit as much a manipulator and charlatan as the Democratic gangsters. The real question is whether enough reasonably well-educated voters can recognize and refute the class-warfare, snake-oil and outright lies fed to the loyal robots at the bottom of the economic dung-heap -- what was called the lumpenproletariat by German statecrafters -- and far in advance of the rise of the Nazis.

Neither of them pay for themselves. Recipients take out far more than they put in - especially on Medicare. That means seniors are benefitting from socialism. Oh and it's government healthcare. But hey, we've seen a lot of socialist loving conservatives. They don't mind socialism if they are the ones on the receiving end.
I have paid about $158 a month to medicare for over 5 years.........they have maybe paid about$200 of medical bills for me...........so me paying in almost $10,000 dollars AFTER retiring plus OMG how much while working for 60 years..........WTF "receiving end"

Lol, that was my category. I was all over the map because I am a moderate independent. My politics seem at odds with each other but they are my core beliefs.
