Whether Democrat or Republican, you're mad that your candidate lost the Presidency, Senate, House or Gubernatorial race etc.

You don't think the primary winner of the party race represents you.

You are disgruntled with the local representatives.

It is definitively due to the fact that your neighbors don't care.

Your neighbors are too busy smoking ganja, eating themselves to oblivion, injecting insulin, popping blood pressure meds, eating ho-ho cupcakes, tweeting #YOLO, getting into road rage, eating Ben and Jerry's then complaining about bloating farting in line at the grocery store hours later with their mask beneath their nose.

Your neighbors are too busy ignoring overdue capital one bills, crying to daddy to increase their allowance at age 45, stuffing ramen noodle high sodium packets down their throat and complaining they feel dizzy, calling out sick from work, posting on snapchat #F**kdaHaterz and neglecting their #blessedChildren

Your neighbors are too busy to move and think differently and question the status quo. They are too busy dealing with the overwhelming miasma of their own ego and all that it entails, and endless loop of hedonistic mindless vices and meaningless social media quips and faux-inspirational quotes.

Your neighbors are too busy. And there's nothing you can do about it legally.

The only option I see for the thinkers among us is to either isolate yourself from and profit off the lemmings or leave.

Thoughts?

The same could be said for other countries as well: Canada got Trudeau, France got Macron, etc....

Man, you must have some pretty bad neighbors. Mine aren't like that.

You want better quality candidates? Get rid of the DNC and the RNC. They are the ones who actually decide the candidates regardless of what the voters want. Start basing it all on votes received, not electoral votes. I'm not saying do away with the electoral college but they should not come into play until the final election. Get them out of the primaries and stop changing the debate rules half way through the game to keep people out of the debates.

I’m going to be honest here, I think the issue is we’ve made the voting less precious of a right. We’ve made it too easy to vote, and think about it in terms of how you treat other things in your life. We do not value or give much effort to protect things that are a given. Compare how bottled water is treated to tap water. Water itself is what is critical but how it’s packaged and it’s availability impacts our attitude towards it both in our demand for the quality of the water and our perception of its value. We’ve done the same thing with education. People by nature always value things they have to work for and that might be denied to them more.

I’m sorry people ought to care enough about voting that they are willing to find the time and take the effort to get to the polls without someone holding their hand or they shouldn’t vote anyway. Having people who can’t make in person ask for their absentee ballots, verify who they are, follow the sealing directions correctly, and be responsible enough to mail them in time or drop them off, is not asking too much.

Simply. People on the fringes vote more, give more money, and volunteer more.
People in the middle are too busy living their lives.

I disagree.

Poor quality candidates are getting elected because only poor quality candidates actually want to be elected. The smart and good ones look at all the sh*t that goes on inside Washington and public opinion and turn away and want nothing to do with it.

Citizens care about who gets elected because it's from the pool of lousy candidates running which means no one will ever be happy.

How about they voted for who they want just as the citizens of our country voted for who they want. When the outcome doesn't suit your taste classifying everyone as less then involved or educated, or not part of "the thinkers among us" as another poster stated is just arrogant because your opinion is no more insightful than mine.

We all think differently and we all have different priorities but I do agree that both parties need to start representing the bulk of their members and stop allowing the fringes to be their mouthpiece.

I agree, sounds like you borrowed this rant from George Carlin's routine from many years ago.

"Where are all the good people at? Answer: they are at the mall, buying sneakers with lights in them."

The real issue is.....Just WHO would want the media to go back in your life, pick apart every mistake you might have made and publicize it? Who would want to have an indiscretion made public on something you did 23 years ago? Who would want their finances torn apart and reviewed by those "media experts"?
Most normal human beings would want no part of running for national office. It would take someone with an extreme Narcissistic personality to want to jump into those shark filled waters. Just look at our last two presidents, perfect examples!

Trump was a jerk but also a very good President. Usurper Biden is a corrupt ass, one with failing faculties and one that will be the pawn of those who do not have the people's best interests at heart, only their bank accounts and lust for power and control. His stooge of a running mate is even more of a whack job and has nor morals or ethics whatsoever.
Traitor Joe will be reviled and despised more than any POTUS if he does manage to steal the election. Even now his supporters are having second thoughts seeing the lockdowns, the power trips and list of racketeers he's tapped to advise him.
