This is partly in response to this question right here.

//www.city-data.com/forum/polit...rson-vote.html

People love to theorize and criticize the "Black vote" and the loyalty to Democrats/Obama and blah blah.

But, if you actually do your research, it's White Voters who helped made Biden the President(even factoring in fraud claims)

So, what made White voters flip on Trump or the GOP this election cycle?

Here's my stats btw:

https://www.brookings.edu/research/2...itional-bases/

Highlights from the article:

"And if exit polls are to be believed, several voting blocs comprised of white and older Americans contributed to his success."

"While whites continued to favor the Republican candidate in 2020—as they have in every presidential election since 1968—it is notable that this margin was reduced from 20% to 17% nationally. At the same time, the Democratic margins for each of the major nonwhite groups was somewhat reduced."

"Moreover, in key battleground states, white female college graduates generally registered greater support for Biden in 2020 than they did for Hillary Clinton in 2016."

"Take Arizona. It is a state that has not voted for a Democratic presidential candidate since 1996. While rapidly diversifying, its older white population has leaned heavily toward Republicans. This time was different; white college graduate women and men flipped sharply toward Democrats, from 2016 Republican advantages of 2% and 12%, respectively, to 2020 Democratic advantages of 15% and 3%."

So, what's the deal? Why did the "White Vote" favor Biden in this election?

I don't think it's a mystery.

A huge amount of the people in the streets rioting and whatnot were Woke white people.
So it doesn't surprise me that the college aged "woke" whites voted for Biden and the white" supremacists" voted for Trump.

Just IMO as an independent suburban woman who graduated college many many years ago, we need normal. Someone who doesn't tweet conspiracy theories or make fun of others or lie constantly. Someone who will be a president for ALL Americans & not just his base.
Many of us didn't vote FOR Biden but against Trump.

I'm failing to see any logical connection between your points. If the discussion was that black loyalty was the sole reason Biden won then yes, but otherwise

"Whites" voted for Trump by a 17% margin - from your own post and link.

If you're wondering why the margin dropped from +20%, I will suggest without further research:

*Hillary was hated by a lot of people.
*Turns out that a 4 year drumbeat - including some self-inflicted harm - had maybe even more people hating Trump.
*Young voters highly favor Democrats, and there were more this year (I'm sure this stat is available)
*Trump's bad messaging on Covid, and not acting paternally ("Now wear your mask!") has a LOT of middle-upper class white women scared to death of Covid (maternal instinct) and needing someone to blame.

At some point enough Trump believers finally realized Trump is as crazy as a rabid sewer rat. Not most, but enough to flip the vote.

By that level of fairness one could type that the Nation of Islam voted for Biden while farmers voted for Trump.

If you ask 100 different people, you'll probably get 100 different answers. I'd say it's probably a combination of negative factors that swayed the balance in Biden's direction.

The Nation of Islam voted disproportionately in favor of Biden. That is Proof of systemic,... something!
