No not really. The problem is the rioters/protesters came largely unarmed. These wannabe militia members like Rittenhouse did come armed and ready for war.
it's almost like you've never heard of the second amendment. your folks don't get to show up ready to burn down an entire city and then claim to be victims.

Kyle's agenda .. to help people, so it seems. He was interviewed while there and said he wanted to help the protesters by taking care of their wounds as best he could and to help protect a business. He has some history of helping out, without violence. He'd helped scrub graffiti off buildings earlier that afternoon. Later on he's on tape walking through the crowd asking if anyone needed medical attention, a number of times. He'd taken a fire extinguisher to others so they could put out a dumpster fire, allegedly started by Rosenbaum, before it caught the gas station on fire. He's not a perfect person but he's not a violent thug who's going out 'looking for people to shoot'.
Rosenbaum's agenda...? Who knows. He's known to be violent and he's known to have a death wish. He'd been released from a mental hospital that very day, after he'd tried to commit suicide again. Just minutes before he was shot and killed he was caught on camera screaming at people to shoot him. He then followed after Kyle, taking his shirt off and wrapping it around his face, probably to escape being recognized on camera. Then he began chasing Kyle down the street and into that car lot.
Huber's agenda...? Who knows. Probably just wanted to be a hero to his fellow protesters/rioters. He's known to be violent, he'd tried to murder his own brother, and had attacked his sister after being released from prison.
Grosskreutz...? Who knows. He probably also wanted to be seen as a hero to the others that were there. He knew Kyle was wanting to get to the cops, but for some reason he didn't want him to do that....mob justice? It will be interesting to find out why during the trial, I'm sure he'll be asked why he tried to throw Kyle to the mob.
Rittenhouse tried to escape, tried to run away from the mob of animals attacking him. He was finally forced to shoot to protect his life. And for this the left-wing nut-jobs condemn him, have called for his murder and have called for him to spend the rest of his life in prision.
A left-wing activist murdered a Trump supporter in cold blood in Portland. No self defense-the victim didn't appear to even see him before he was slaughtered. Yet not one word from those on the left condemning that POS.
Says a lot about the morals and mentality of the left.
cause those on the left are the ones who would shoot you in the face and then either blame you or say it never happened.
I am for self defense, but my prediction in this case it that he will be found guilty of manslaughter, but like I said he is at the mercy of the legal system, so he will get whatever is coming to him. It is what it is.
so do people committing crime and fighting with cops get whats coming to them or do we not like it then?

Sure I did. Maybe next time you quote someone's question, that was not directed at you, and you respond to it in an attempt to answer it, you should actually answer it.
Some inputs from licensed attorneys. All in favor of self defense goes to Kyle Rittenhouse. I will take these guys words over citydata leftists with their law degree from University of Phoenix online

Who is saying Grosskreutz had his gun aimed at Kyle and was trying to take Kyle's weapon while they were running? If all you know is just that they were running together then you haven't been paying attention.

In most places you need the property owners approval to enter their property. Would you be ok if a stranger with an AR shows up in your back yard claiming to be there to 'protect' it? I don't think the car dealer had an issue with Kyle being there, but the fact remains that no one asked him to be there. He was playing cop and it resulted in three people getting shot .
Seems there might be phone records and witnesses that may say otherwise. Anyway, it will probably come out in court if the property owner is being truthful about that or not.

Its obvious a slew of no-name lawyers would want to insert themselves in a case which will put their mugs on TV.
Some lawyers have charged him with very serious crimes, and some others argue it was self defense.
Kyle chose to do what he did and now he is at the mercy of the legal system. Period.

Prosecution (licensed attorneys) view: two counts of first-degree intentional homicide and other crimes (felony charges of attempted first-degree intentional homicide and two charges of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, and a misdemeanor charge of possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18.)
Id like to hear an explanation to why SO MANY people believed he was defending himself legally...but apparently they were totally fine with him sitting in jail for months? Where were the armed mobs of people going down to the jail to demand his release?
