I do not know what the media is saying about it, but I have watched the videos. He was not carrying a chain when he was doing his run-round with Kyle.

I will let the court judge him. I see no point in declaring him guilty or innocent here in CD.

Moot point. I would not put myself in a situation by displaying a firearm for no reason. That's why it was stupid of Kyle to play cop like that.

If someone threatened me with a plastic bag, I would tell him to pull himself together.

I never said he'd had the chain by the time he was chasing Kyle into and around the car lot, he'd had the chain just before he started stalking Kyle when they'd left the gas station. While stalking Kyle down the street on the way to the car lot maybe he'd swung it at Kyle and lost it, or threw it at Kyle and didn't retrieve it. We shall see what's said about it during the trial.

If I'd seen someone setting fire to a dumpster, most likely hoping for the gas station to burn down, becoming extremely angry when the fire is put out, seeing him screaming at people to shoot him, wrapping his face in his shirt so that he could not be recognized by others there and on their videos, carrying a heavy chain (that may have been swung or thrown at me), chasing me down the street into a car lot, hearing a gun shot as the unhinged man is hot on my heels, turning around and he's grabbing at me, all of that happening in just a few minutes .. yeah, I'd probably shoot too.

As vocal as Rosenbaum had been when he was raging at people, it's very possible that he'd verbally threatened Kyle as he was chasing him. If he did that it will probably come out during the trial.

You are confused between "impersonating officer" and "playing cop". I never said anything about impersonating officer.

Rittenhouse was playing cop, but not impersonating officer. He is 17 so he swapped the plastic guns for a real one, and took it from the back-yard to the streets with deadly consequences.

Very naive.

Except this 9 yr old was not playing w/plastic guns.

When do we get to see the autopsy photos of the pieces of excrement he rid this world of? I would kick in money to put them up on billboards with slogans like "burn loot murder" "pants up don't loot" "I love when children rub my hairy legs" since one of them was a pedophile it would be a nice shout out to sleepy joe. "hell yea we're coming for your ar15's"

As a person myself that trained in self defense , martial arts course the following was always instructed to us:

Using your martial arts skills outside the confines of your dojo or fitness center can have serious repercussions, including potential criminal and civil liability.

In self-defense, the purpose of martial arts is to protect oneself or another person from an imminent threat of bodily injury or death.

The martial artist must be fully aware of the consequences of intentionally or unintentionally misusing their skills. A misuse of skills can result in criminal prosecution, a civil judgment, or both.

Specifically, you must understand the legal difference between a controlled, necessary and proportionate force to repel an attack and an excessive and disproportionate force.

So as we say in class- Disable, disengage and Distance yourself. No where have I been trained to automatically go for the Kill shot, So to speak.

But as you identified yourself with , you have had police training and thus go against the foundation of martial arts discipline. I imagine its easier though for you since a badge will be your recourse of justification.

I'm staying as far away from this Rittenhouse Defense argument- My contribution is pittance in comparison to the 49 other posters with an online degree in law .
