It is clear by your line of reasoning you aren't scientifically inclined.

The incidence of flu is severely impacted by folks who are choosing to wear masks and participate in social distancing. Those measures impact colds, flu, sharing gut rot, etc.....More handwashing, more masks, less gathering in large spaces will all have a significant impact on all kinds of things we normally share.

AND -- hospitals have stated that because of the fear of COVID and because they are filled to the brim -- they aren't seeing the casual drop ins for things like flu etc.

You need to list facts, and you haven't. It's very easy to pull up the CDC's weekly influenza surveillance reports for the current year and compare them to past years. Flu season obviously hadn't occurred at this time of year by looking at the maps. The estimate for deaths was 22,000 for last year.

Interpretation: people are getting influenza, but at a lower rate than normal. (Perhaps due to mask wearing and social distancing?) They also say you should still get the influenza vaccine.
This board is becoming exhausting with the Covid = hoax crowd.

How long did this take you? Took me 15 seconds. Thanks.

Jesus, people. Is everyone on this site a Trumper or what?

For the insane who don't know how to manipulate their Googling machiny-thingy I'll repeat your link...

Ok.. But are those DEATHS of flu being reported as COVID DEAHTS to enhance a political strategy? . If not then you have to take the official COVID Deaths this year and subtract it by tens of thousands, which eliminates the mortality of the virus and case Numbers/infections. People do get flu outside the flu season.

Then if you do that. How many other afflictions causing deaths are attributing it to COVID deaths to serve a political end? Who knows.

It's quite simple:

People aren't going out as much, they aren't getting as sick as often outside of covid.

I myself haven't called out of work sick since February.

So yes, we're going to see reduced flu numbers.

I doubt it. They didn't have enough hospital bed, doctors, and nurses. So the patients were transferred to skilled nursing facilities which didn't have the supplies and equipment for control of infectious diseases. That's why the death rate was so high. If you look at the current hot spots, such as Texas and Louisiana, the same thing is going on. They are moving the patients directly to hospice and letting them die. The quality of care is affected by the number of beds and the medical staff. They are also limiting efforts to help patients by limiting attempts to resuscitate. I'm seeing the same reports by nurses and doctors in the UK.

Amazing. People intentionally breaking the lockdown by massing 10,000 into a temple so some son of a rabbi can have his privileged gathering.

news

Only Asia had hard lockdowns. So they will come out of this faster than the US and Europe.

Lol. Even in this thread, people are saying that flu and colds are doing because people are wearing masks and social distancing, and the same people are saying covid cases are up because people are not wearing masks and social distancing. So which is it? Sorry, can't have it both ways. It's ridiculous that no matter how much proof is out there that covid is not worse than a flu and is just overexaggerared by politicians to push their agenda, people still prefer to believe it and live in fear. Its like everyone developed a fetish for masks, hand sanitizing and social distancing. Oh wait, there is already a scientific term for it - Stockholm syndrome. Or people just don't want to admit they were wrong and people who didn't believe in this hoax were right after all

So you want official numbers but won't go to the website of the agency in charge of the official numbers?

Check.
