Not to mention her parents were here on temporary VISAs!! And were not registered as permanent resident aliens of the USA when Kamala was born in 1964 in California!
Neither of her parents were U.S. Citizens then!

She is a US Citizen, not a Natural Born Citizen
If you are born here you are a natural born citizen

They can't try to claim Kamala wasn't born here, so they had to make up something else

If a US Citizen is the same thing as a natural born citizen why would the Constitution even bother to use both terms?:

Art. II, Sec. 1
No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States...

So here we have two types of citizens. If they were the same there would be no need to make the distinction.

There was no need to define the differences. Because it's well known.

If you and your wife visit the planet Mars and have a baby there, is your baby a Martian? Is your baby a US Citizen? Is your baby a natural born Citizen of the USA? Of Mars?

When the Constitution was written, the country was filled with citizens who had not been born here, because the United States of America did not exist when they were born. It wasn't until the 8th president that we had one who had been born after 1776. Those first 7 presidents became citizens upon the formation of the country but were not "natural born citizens" because of course they could not have been in a country that didn't exist at the time

Guess Ted Cruz can forget ever trying for President again as he was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Nice place.

they're not. a US citizen can be either naturalized or a citizen at birth ( which is the prevailing legal opinion of the definition of "natural born citizen" )

Try to be less dramatic, it is not that difficult.

If you or your wife are a US citizen at the time of baby's birth then baby is natural born citizen of USA whether parents are visiting Mars or Kenya.

Now if Baby is Martian (and his parents as well) and moves to USA at some point and gains lawfully US citizenship he is just a US citizen and is not eligible for presidency.

Oh, Jesus Christ!

There are two types of citizens - natural and naturalized.

Harris is a natural US citizen, i.e. was a citizen at birth. "Natural born citizen" = citizen at birth.

( if the mother met the age requirement ) the baby would be a US citizen at birth thru jus sanguinis ( and most likely be considered a US "natural born citizen" ). it would depend on the citizenship laws of mars but if the red planet recognized jus soli then the baby would have mars citizenship in addition to the US citizenship.
