Covidgiving is on Thursday November 26th. They go home, spread, incubate, get sick and die.

I picked the week of December 13th - 19th because that's 17 to 23 days after Covidgiving Day.

For reference, November 15th - 21st the seven-day average was 1,516 deaths per day.

10,612 total for the week and what you're voting on in the poll.

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

I debated on whether or not to make the poll public or private and decided on private. The reason being that at least 40% of the country believes it's a hoax but they won't admit it in public. That's one of the poll options so those folks can pick it.

1. 0: It's a hoax
2. 1 - 7.999
3. 8,000 - 15,999
4. 16,000 - 23,999
5. 24,000 and up

I'm personally not going to be a superspreader when the vaccine is so close. I've made some trolly posts about not taking precautions in the past and thought about making this one to be similar.. I wear my mask and social distance, other people can do what they want. I remain neutral.

People have different definitions for what a covid death is. I'm convinced hospital administrators are encouraging their staff to inflate the numbers to get extra money from the government. That doesn't take away from the fact this virus can be hazardous to people who are in nursing homes or high risk. I just think it should be on people to take their own precautions at this point. If you are 72 years old and you decide to go grocery shopping at 5PM, you only have yourself to blame if you contract Covid. Have some common sense and go during the slow times of day. A mask isn't a fix-all in a packed grocery store where people rarely maintain distancing requirements.

You've convinced me, we need more government to save us from ourselves.

On the contrary, government intervention has made this a horrible mess. No intervention would have allowed the free market to shape behavior resulting in a moral/logical outcome regardless of the death count. The social engineers on both teams have blood on their hands.

For someone who is against government interference and all for individual freedoms (at least that's what it seems from your past posts), you sure do start a lot of threads that imply we're all going to die if people don't follow what you and other Covid-scared folks think are the "correct" procedures.

True, you don't come right out and support mandates or tell us we're selfish grandma-killers, but you're perilously close to crossing that line. Lots of implied shaming and passive-aggressiveness going on here. Not like you. I miss your sense of humor from past posts, too.

I think for that week we're looking at 3K per day for a total of 21K (to answer the poll question).

You have quite a high tally. I can't say it's out of the question though.

The interesting thing would be if we get that high will it impact Christmas plans or will the population as a whole continue to double down on whatever political bent is making them act as they do?
