Americans are being shot by police officers because 99.9999% of the time they disobey police orders and created a perceived threat to the police officer.
It occurred in a rough area with a known drug issue. The young man in question had a less than ideal upbringing and a history of interactions with law enforcement. His death is a shame, for life is very precious, but sadder still is the reality that this is a prime example of why there is a larger police presence, with more rigid policing, and where weapons are drawn quicker, in some areas of a town than others.
