Glad that the governor of Oregon is doing all she can to enforce her safety orders.

California is very weak in comparison with the highest COVID-19 violation fine at just $3,750

Oregon fined a gym $90,000 for defying the governors orders, which is over 20 times higher than the highest in California so far $3,750 in Santa Clara County.

Wonderful that Oregon gave a $90,000 fine for disobeying governor Brown's orders.

California on the other hand record so far has been just $3,750 for a COVID-19 violation.

Yeah and you can take over several city blocks and declare an autonomous zone and be celebrated by the liberal elected for your "summer of love".

Why didn't the gym owners just declare their opening and defiance of orders as a protest against racism, Trump and whatever else the outrage of the day is?

A $90,000 fine is more than "the man" making an example of you, $90,000 is putting you out of business.

A major reason we stayed in Portland another month this past summer was because gyms were open. At home in AZ they were closed. Today in AZ our gyms are open. We are escalating here with Covid 19 also, so that may not last.

If they were smart, they would have hired some illegal immigrant workers for cleaning/maintenance and declared it a “sanctuary gym”

How is that "smart"? We need to lower the virus replication factor, not raise it.
