I'd say more like "releasing the Kraken".

There is an entire office devoted to pardons at DOJ and of course they are advisor,y normally they are the recommending office. Plenty of more deserving cases than Bernie Kerick, Flynn and Stone.

I can't wait for Flynn to reveal why Obama was trying to shut him up. What does he know about the previous administration's traitors?

I would much rather know why Trump fired him.

Kerik was caught red-handed. I didn't think he deserved to be pardoned. He served real time too. Trump did Rudy a favor on that one.

Interesting take on this by a prosecutor, a vindication of Judge Sullivan.

Trump could have pardoned Flynn at any time in the past 3 years, so why did he wait until now and not at least let Sullivan make his final determination.

Quote:
President Trump’s pardon of former national security adviser Michael Flynn didn’t merely save one man from going to federal prison. Far more importantly, the pardon demonstrated the wisdom of U.S. District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan’s refusal to dismiss the case against Flynn. In the end, the judge’s steadfastness saved the Justice Department from itself — or at least from its attorney general.

Obama fired him because he was a problem child who couldn't play well with others. Trump hired him because Obama specifically warned him not to.

Trump fired him when he finally realized Flynn was way too chummy with Russian agents following having dinner with Vlad in the Kremlin in 2016, and the proverbial poop was about to connect with the fan.

There really was collusion, you know.

She wasn't convicted of a crime, she never pled guilty.

So why did Barr wait all this time to decide what was supposedly so obvious.
