CNN and Fox were both organized by Roger Ailes, and that is why they are such problems. Those organizations are fundamentally dishonest.
But people CAN think for themselves. Just observing Trump it is easy enough to see that he is nuts and getting worse under the stress of losing, something he is totally helpless to do anything about. He can't lie his way out of this one ...
He needs to face up to the fact that he is a loser, something his father would never countenance. He has to admit that he is "the hero who WAS captured". His is now everything he has disdained his whole adult life. That's a tough row to hoe for a man who has been hiding from himself and lying to himself since he was young.
And his troubles are only beginning. Trump is well aware of that.
It might only be for the same term as Michael Cohen, but he is facing it. There are also several states looking at Trump's activities, thanks to Cohen's testimony.
We always knew Trump was a scumbag, even most Trump supporters know it. Trump knows it too. It's just that for most of his life he didn't care, he would hide behind a facade. Now the spotlight is on him, and the walls are closing in, the 'make belive' Trump is exposed ... he can't hide.

I dunno...there are plenty of people who have horrible parents who don’t grow up to be narcissists, or malignant narcissists like Trump. I believe it’s an ingrained mental illness like many others, and the nature of the illness prevents the sufferer from recognizing it in themselves and seeking help. So they blaze a path of destroyed relationships and usually end up with a ruined life by the time they reach old age. (My stepfather was a narcissist much like Trump, incapable of empathy or self-criticism, so I have a good reference point).

He knows a lot of secrets, because he is president, but he has been giving them away all along. According to him it's ok because he has the authority to unilaterally declassify anything he wants.
So he thinks it's ok if he outs a source with his blabber mouth, he's the president! He never shed a tear for any of our servicemen who died because of the bounties, he never took any action and continued to chum it up with Putin. So what's the life of an Israeli or French or Moroccan agent to him? Nothing.
At least if the man is incarcerated the warden can monitor his communications, from the white house he can do anything with a little unsecured cell phone, bypassing all formal safeguards. Foreign spy operations can listen in ... right now ... on his most private conversations. They always know what he is thinking and how to play him.
There are going to be a lot of documentaries and screenplays about the Trump interregnum. Younger generations will be shocked we ever allowed such a certifiable lunatic and moral degenerate to enter the white house.
