if biden wants to, he is free to. the problem is if the state in question cheats, it affects us all

The State of Michigan's Brief in Opposition includes a succinct, easy to understand introduction that gives reason to why the Supreme Court shouldn't (and isn't likely) to hear this case. It sums it up beautifully.

STATE OF MICHIGAN’S BRIEF IN
OPPOSITION

INTRODUCTION
The Constitution has entrusted the states to determine
their electors in a presidential election. Consistent
with Michigan law, the State of Michigan has
certified its presidential vote and the election in Michigan
is over. The challenge here is an unprecedented
one, without factual foundation or a valid legal basis.
This Court should summarily dismiss the motion to
file the bill of complaint. To do otherwise would make
this Court the arbiter of all future national elections.

Legal experts have said the lawsuit has little chance of succeeding and have questioned whether Texas has the legal standing to challenge election procedures in other states.
The states changed the laws without legislature approval.
