How woke of them.

They would be better served offering more quality content on a consistent basis (with their ever increasing subscription costs) than wasting their money on fluff like this.

Netflix released a first-of-its-kind diversity study Friday to analyze the makeup of Netflix’s on-screen talent, as well as the behind-the-camera creators, producers, writers and directors.

The report shows that the company has made progress, but still has more work to do to close diversity gaps. The company says it’s committing to an “inclusion lens” to its work, which co-CEO Ted Sarandos says means asking questions like, “Whose voice is missing? Is this portrayal authentic? Who is excluded?”

The company also announced the creation of the Netflix Fund for Creative Equity, which will invest $100 million over the next five years in organizations that help underrepresented communities train and find jobs in TV and film. Netflix also committed to releasing an update on this study every two years through 2026.

Don't watch the shows, movies.

Stop paying for their service. It's as simple as that.

Half the chit is crap on there anyway...

Ain't that the truth!

Also, the people who feel they are being "judged" for being racist or sexist or homophobic. Yes, you are. Every time you open you mouths.

Yes, never was about equality. Instead all the minority entitlements based on race.

What's wrong with giving people an opportunity that they would have never received? Some people dont have the connections to get to work on a movie set. Netflix and other studios see this as well.

They are not just hiring people with no experience, you have to be able to do the job.

Lots of things in life are not based on merit but on more on who you know.

I suspect that the point is that has been happening all along. Good actors and actresses were not being selected as a consequence of their race.
