So a kid committed suicide. He could have got Chinese WuFlu, which would have been much worse. Just do what the telescreen tells you to do. Don't question anything, ever. The government is always right.

This is ridiculous and false.

They were at work. The boy was home with his sister and they were both doing school via zoom in their rooms. She heard the gunshot, found him and called 911.

Mental health is a facet of the medical establishment. Psychiatrists are MD’s. Why aren’t they advocating for people like this kid. If the world wasn’t locked down, this child (long life ahead of him) would still be alive. Instead, some 75 year old sick person who otherwise would have died within a year is still around.

If we quarantined the frail and elderly, I am curious what the death count would be. It sure as heck would have been a lot more doable logistically. Let alone the economy and unrelated deaths, like this kid.

Where’s your proof it’s true?

As I have said before, it is a catch 22. Either we get people sick by not locking down, some enough to the point they never fully recover or in the worse case they die; or have mental illness increase as does suicide but death due to the virus is a bit more manageable. Mind you mental health can be made worse with family and close people dying too.

Psychologists know both outcomes are the problem. People forget that death does cause trauma., especially death of a parent or child. Fearing a parent is gonna die is not something I wish on anyone and I wish it was far more sympathetic without going through that.

As for living down the elderly and sick good luck. Many of the elderly are stubborn creatures. Many still rather shop than use online pickup or delivery when prices are the same. Some live in delivery deserts too. As for the suck, we do not have a social safety net for them. The elderly have Social Security but many still need or want to work. And that still don't cover the young people who get Covid bad.

So the elderly need to stop being so damned selfish and “wear a mask”. For those who will take that literally, I’m saying they know what their risks are, and if we’re all supposed to inconvenience ourselves (in ways minor and major - I’m still out of work), then that applies to seniors as well. Even more than it should apply to the general public.

I had googled govt. sites for the 5,324 number. I should have bookmarked it, but I’ll find it again. In the meantime, here’s a link showing specifically that R’s have introduced legislation. Two are bipartisan, three are R only.

It isn't just the elderly I see not wearing masks. I see it across many different age groups in all honesty. We have about as many people not complying now as I saw when the mask orders were first enacted in June. Stores only "enforce" it at entry points.
