When I was 11 years old suicide was such a distant, abstract concept. I don't even know if I was aware of such a thing as a matter of fact.

Quote:
An 11-year-old California boy has died in an apparent suicide while he was attending distance learning classes, authorities said.

Deputies responded just after 11 a.m. on Wednesday to reports that a person had been shot in a house in Woodbridge, the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

Upon arrival, deputies found a juvenile with a head injury who was rushed to a nearby hospital.

The lockdowns are stressing out lots of people. I see it in many of my students.

Actually, it is about the "controversy" behind the lockdowns and schools being shutdown. Suicides have been surging with isolation being one of the issues:

https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/su...dc-chief-warns

https://www.dailysignal.com/2020/09/...s-among-teens/

"Inasmuch as 8 out of 10 COVID-19-related deaths are among people aged 65 or older, few would have expected teens to suffer disproportionately from the coronavirus, but increased rates of anxiety and depression among America’s youth signal a palpable threat from suicide."

https://www.azfamily.com/news/arizon...e65942d6a.html

"Hoffman said so far in Arizona this year, there have been 43 suicides of people under the age of 17, some as young as 13. That's up from 38 in 2019. Her concern is that with schools in remote-learning and the cancelation of extracurricular activities, children are dealing with what she called a set of twin crises -- the virus itself and youth suicide due to isolation from their friends and classmates."

THIS IS SOMETHING PEOPLE NEED TO BE AWARE OF.

The left lives in a vacuum founded in the delusion that everyone should just comply with their will as they know better than the plebeians. They cling to "science"... the same "science" that proclaims that there are more than 50 genders.

There is a real, human cost to the left's self-righteousness rather or not they want to face it.

The Internet is a great thing in so many ways, but like all great things there is the potential for abuse. Few 11 year olds who have unfettered Internet access have any innocence left. My heart grieves for the young man and his family.

Don't forget when we were kids people didn't talk about suicide -- kids or adults. It would never have been addressed.

Can you blame him? Look at the hell on earth the "adults" around him have constructed for him--mostly due to overreaction. I'm sure glad I'm on the tail end of life rather than the nose end.

So sad, breaks my heart . lockdowns don’t work isolation kills. Kids need to see their friends, they need contact.

WE don't know what his Homelife was like. When a Child opts for suicide, something is seriously wrong. I won't say much more about it but sometimes life is so bad, so horrendous that death seems to be the best choice. As a child you are powerless to change your circumstances.
