If so, then let me ask you this. Let’s say you needed to have major surgery done. Would you want the best surgeons possible or instead a diverse group of surgeons?

The changes in opportunity during the past 50 years mean that if someone tells me that they have chosen a group of "the best people" - for anything - who all just happen to be white men (with maybe a token or two thrown in) - I KNOW they're wrong. Whether deliberately or inadvertently - they're wrong.
OP is correct. Liberals decide based on race FIRST, and then from that group, select the best. (And not even necessarily the best, as we saw with the Harris pick.j

I think its time to retire the silly nicknames now that Trump is leaving the white house. Its petty and immature. I don't like Biden but I was brought up to show civility and respect in life. Trump deserves the same.
Time to grow up?
Regarding Biden. He can choose whoever he wants. If they need confirmation from congress then its up to them to decide. We have a representative republic not a democracy.
The diversity of it is really neither here nor there. The main thing is that it's not unqualified family members and campaign contributors.
