The immune system is what makes the vaccine effective.

The side effects of COVID-19 vaccines tend can be rather intense, but I would have thought that every nurse would be rushing for the vaccine as quickly as they can but that doesn't seem to be the case.

According to media reports, side effects are up to 2 days of fever, chills and a sore arm. Which means that many will likely need about 4 days off work after the two vaccines.

Seems like for most, but not all that COVID-19 is on average far worse than the COVID-19 vaccine but it does seem like many people will need 4 days off work to address the vaccine side effects, if it's two days of side effects after each time.
No need to miss work. Just schedule the injection prior to planned time off. Also, for many people the side effects will not be that severe. They will continue to work.

The mRNA vaccines are predicted to be safer.

There's something to be said for not pressing our entire front-line health care workforce into service as the first wave of guinea pigs for the vaccine. That way if there are unforeseen issues such as unanticipated severity of side effects, we don't have a big chunk of them out of commission at roughly the same time.

QFT +1000.

We might not know the side effects until YEARS later...

Especially for something like mRNA vaccines which are much more invasive on a genetic level.

Or they had read that article about an ex-Pfizer executive who asked EU to halt Covid-19 vaccines studies.

Former Pfizer vice president and scientific director Dr. Michael Yeadon and German lung specialist and parliamentarian Dr. Wolfgang Wodarg have filed an urgent application with the European Medicine Agency calling for the immediate suspension of all SARS-CoV-2 vaccine studies - particularly the BioNtech/Pfizer study on BNT162b (EudraCT number 2020-002641-42).

Yeadon and Wodarg say the studies should be halted until a design study is available which addresses a host of serious safety concerns expressed by a growing body of renowned scientists who are skeptical of how quickly the vaccines are being developed, according to Germany's 2020 News.

No, mRNA vaccines are not "invasive on a genetic level". They make no permanent genetic changes. They deliver the directions to muscle cells to make a viral protein to which the immune system can produce antibodies. The mRNA in the vaccine is eliminated in a matter of hours.

Yeadon is wrong. His claims are refuted here.

The protein he claims that might affect fertility is not in any vaccine. If it were, it would also be in the virus itself, meaning that viral infection would also affect fertility. Also, every human expresses that protein anyway and is immune tolerant to it. Discussion here in this twitter thread.

The more folks who pass on the vaccine the higher the chance that there will be some for me soon. I am in a high-risk group, an older senior.

Keep in mind the possibility that there is a % of health care workers who have had and have recovered from the virus.

Where did you get your medical degree? LMK.

It will genetically modify humans. Same thing Monsanto does to it's corn.

No amount of your 5,000 links and quotes and re-quotes and disinformation links can change that FACT.

The vaccine absolutely will change your DNA. No questions about it.

No way anyone with 2 critical brain cells would ever take it.
