You're missing the real trend which is Latinos accelerating a switch to the Republican party. This is being driven in part by the fear of socialism which destroyed Cuba, Venezuela, and Bolivia, but mostly from the insanity of the woke leftists that are trying to eliminate gender norms and distinctions. Every time a Latino is lectured by some soy latte transgendered activist that they are actually a "LatinX", about 3 more family voters are lost for the Democrats. Spanish speaking cultures have very strong gender roles and they are being driven away from the insanity of the neurotic activists trying to control everyone's life
You can repeat this until your fingers bleed, you can show hard election data, you can post speeches from various Latino business owners and community groups, and these people will still look you in the eye and go “nuh uh”.
This is the Democrat Way of speaking for minorities - even when they are already speaking for themselves just fine.

This is Texas, NOT FLORIDA. The bulk of Texas' Hispanic population is of Mexican background, and are more likely to lean Democrat than Cuban-Americans living in Florida.
So incompetent that they are the richest state in the nation. How on Earth does that work?
It certainly wasn't planned by state government. Texas government’s economic focus over time has been on cattle and petroleum. Here’s how it does work:
1. It’s easier to make money without a government and its pesky laws. Just ask the drug cartels.
2. Texas government does a few things well, notably criminal law enforcement and roads. It tends to stay out of other areas, esp. economic areas.
3. Texas’ laissez faire approach to government is one of the reasons immigrants, especially refugees, are attracted to Texas, especially Houston.
4. Speaking of refugees and other furriners, the best change about Texas in the last 50 years has been the realization, at least in the cities, that the Blacks, Hispanics, and Asians living there work just as hard and are every bit as smart and appreciative of what’s great about Texas and the USA as those Whites who can trace their family lines back to Sam Houston’s army at San Jacinto, or arrived last week to make money without too much interference, kinda like Elon.
5. Breakfast tacos, kolaches, and brisket improve everything.
(Oh, you wanted to know what time it is but I told you how to build a watch instead?)
Gavin Newsome banned fossil fuel vehicles in the State by 2035, or ban the sale of new fossil fuel cars which is the same.
How much more can an electric car company ask from taxpayers or a state? Texas is heavily dependent on fossil fuel industry. Sure Tesla not going to but heads at all in Texas.
Tesla can sell to California residents from any state.
And yes Tesla is effectively moving out too. Their new battery plant is in Texas and none of the new car factories will be in California. The Fremont, CA plant is not closing yet, but it may eventually. But they're not going to expand in CA, that's for sure
I'm not sure folks that once sought California as the place to be -- moving to Texas suggests anything except for, Texas is more affordable......lol.
Not that it matters, but Austin is a blue city. And when it comes to Texas, many people move there due to a lower cost of living. California has alot of mountains and ocean. It makes California beautiful. It also makes it expensive. People pay big money for mountain views and ocean views. Land is also limited thanks to both. There isn't alot of room to build anymore within Silicon Valley.
Texas, on the other hand, has more room, and not only because it's a bigger state. Look at where most of Texas' population lives. Look at where Austin is located. Most large Texas cities don't have mountains or ocean to worry about. Dallas-Ft. Worth area especially. Plenty of relatively flat, arable land to build on. Austin, is close to Texas Hill Country. There is also limestone karst to consider. There are caves nearby. Must be careful where to build. However, there is more room to build and spread out relative to Silicon Valley or Southern California. Houston has to deal with the Gulf of Mexico. Outside of that, not that many barriers to spreading out in Texas. This is a big part of why the cost of living in Texas isn't nearly as high as California.
