Republicans follow in the reins of evangelicals in that they think if they truly believe something (i.e. pray) it will come true.
Trump on Covid:
Feb 27: "It’s going to disappear. One day — it’s like a miracle — it will disappear."
March 31: "It’s going to go away, hopefully at the end of the month. And, if not, hopefully it will be soon after that."
right before election: "on November 4 you won’t hear anything about it (Covid) because we’re rounding that turn,"
If you win the electoral college but don't have the popular vote, the church of NOT MY PRESIDENT shall smite thee. Illegitimate! Impeach before taking office! Faithless electoral voters please save us halleluja!
Trump sucks. Recognize your own suck. Thanks.
P.S. Both political parties are a nutty religion, you just haven't realized it yet, I mean after all the incoming VP accused the incoming President of sexual assault in the primaries but hey, you just keep the faith my friend.
That isn't evidence. That's just random people saying things.
Courts need actual proof to be convinced and so do I.
I'm a millennial and a registered Republican. I've only been able to vote since 2008 and voted for McCain, Romney, and Trump in 2016 (when I thought Trump was more moderate). He turned out to be a radical nut job. So I voted for Biden in 2020.
Maybe you're right. In 2020, if you're not a lunatic conspiracy theorist, you're not a true Republican.
FWIW, I could tell by your writing style that you're uneducated and likely a baby boomer. I recommend that you take some cheap community college classes to see how American politics actually work. You might develop a better understanding of the electoral process, as well as a rational thought process when trying to determine what is legitimate and what isn't. Also, you'll be less likely to be taken advantage of by scammers.
ahh i see the immaturity in this one is alive and well. youll learn not to be a condecending jackaxx when you grow up.
Amen there was voter fraud, it’s sickening how much democrats got away with
How was there voter fraud. Even Trump's lawyers haven't shown any evidence which is why their cases have been thrown out in every single court. It's sickening that we have a president who can't accept the results and is trying to destroy our country on his way out.

Wow, dude. What's your problem. You have no idea what you're talking about. Sheeesh.

No reason to get defensive.
Truthfully, you all could use spelling and grammar lessons. These responses are atrocious.
In any event, I'm just trying to help that poster out. Anyone that thinks that Trump won the election at this point needs to develop a better understanding of our political system. He would benefit from math classes as well since this would help with his logical reasoning.
Our education system has failed many of the posters on this forum.
Common sense and logic went out the window long time ago, and was replaced by pure emotion and an illusion of 'faith'. How else would you digest 30 000 lies and still 'believe' every word? You were lucky with that one, because usually they get hostile when questioned.
My friend personified the worst stereotypes. She called Melania a “beautiful First Lady” and chafed when I talked about Michelle Obama (referred to her as a “man with a penis”). The only things that she and I agreed on were Trump’s America First policies that limit illegal immigration and refugees. She couldn’t answer why trump couldn’t put a stop to immigrants’ social entitlements in the 4 years that he’s been there. I didn’t get around to asking her about Qanon, but she probably believed that too. She claimed that trump wasn’t against gay people, which I wholly disagreed with. She brought up some gay guy who founded the Walk Away movement, which I think are a bunch of brainwashed kooks.
I don’t often get to talk with someone on the opposite side and behave civilly. So, it was a good convo.
Wrong, Einstein.......There are plenty of people willing to swear to the indiscrepancies involved in this election. And plenty of lawsuits in the works, all legit.....
You may want to watch something besides CNN....
So we'll see. But I suspect Biden wins out anyway. If you cheat well enough you can still win.......
I swear I saw a flying purple pig and so did many others too.
if memory serves, you're the one who's had basically the same conversation in October with the same person that was convinced Trump would win.
No, it wasn’t this person. It was another friend who was fearing a trump win. Who could really be sure at the time? I could have gone round and round in this conversation. She thinks that the country is going socialist, but does not see Wall St and big business socialism in the same way- of course. She knew nothing about Trump’s involvement with the Central Park 5- ignorant of so many facts.

Referred to Michelle Obama as 'a man with a penis'? This comment seems a little tautological; unless of course your friend is big into transgender rights and always likes to stress that you don't need to be a man to have a penis and you don't need to have a penis to be a man. Somehow I get the feeling that isn't the case though.
Seriously though, from the little you have told us, your friend sounds like she has gone completely off the deep end, and I am very surprised you were able to have a civil conversation with her.
