You use this term as it if is a bad thing. It's just describing those with a different opinion.
No, I don't use it as such, you take it as such. It is a person who speaks or writes in defense of someone or something. In case of Trump, he can say anything, including 30 000 lies, whining, insults, mockery, false accusation, playing the victim etc and his apologists always come to his defense, aka they are Trump apologists.

If you are a Christian apologist (which is a good thing), you would speak up and defend the Christian / Biblical POV. It depends on who, or what you choose to be an apologist for. In the example i quoted, there was a person who was an apologist for a Serbian genocidal maniac.

Interesting. So be it, I guess. Given the options we had the last two elections, I'm a Trump supporter. Does he say absolutely stupid **** on occasion, yes. Overall though, I was satisfied with the last four years.

As far as the Christian thing...I'm not much of a believer.

I sort of recall the Confederates thinking the same thing at the time.

It's not just Trump supporters who are upset, there are other conservatives, independents and even what used to be considered moderate democrats who are upset with the current direction and bullying from the Left. Here's a short list of some of the things that we see as imminent threat to freedom and the constitution.

-Liberal-owned Social media companies playing censor and deleting content they don't like
-Leftist groups calling for the abolition of police
-Push from quite a few democrats for marxist-socialism
-Anti-American rhetoric from the Left claiming they want to "tear down America" / They hate the country
-Historical rewriting of things to fit their agenda
-The constant demonization of white people
-The indoctrination of our children with Marxist ideas starting at grade school all the way through PHd
-The insistence of pushing leftist "morals" on the majority

I literally could go on and on. Of course, the left will claim none of the above is true, but in fact it is. Every single one can be backed up with fact. The republic is at a breaking point. We are on the edge of sliding into marxist socialism and giving up foundational freedoms in the constitution. Many Americans will not stand for this. Whether this ends up with states giving the feds a middle finger of some kind or war I don't know. We fought for freedoms long ago and it runs in many American's veins. Do not underestimate the American spirit and the spirit of people to fight against tyranny.
We can solve all this without a war. Why do you want to kill thousands of people for your personal views ? How will other countries think about us ? We will be a disappointment to the world. The world will dissolve into anarchy as 3rd world leaders in democratic nations who look up to America (like Brazil & India) start thinking it’s ok to wage war and divide the country based on a few conflicting views that can easily be talked through. My grandfather lived through the India Pakistan partition which damaged both nations for good. I do not want to see a repeat of that here in America.

Most of that much bragged about high GDP in the urban areas is paper. Services, investments, etc. They no longer actually produce material goods that are needed. Cities can't feed themselves, can't supply their own water, can't supply their own fuel. Much of the urban population is unfit for military service and too soft anyways. Look to a more modern civil war to see how things would play out. Like China's civil war. Mao won China by taking the rural areas. Control the food, control the people. Even most of the "blue" states are not. They're red states with some big blue dots that outnumber the other residents. But those dots are not defendable in a war.

If these urban leftists simply respected the Constitution and other people we wouldn't be in this situation to begin with. It's not rural residents trying to dictate to urban residents how to live. it's the other way around.

A civil war would be the fastest way to turn us into a third world, or worse country. It would be one of the biggest mistakes we as a society could make. The United States as we know it would not survive one.

This is my opinion, and I'm a right leaning Trump voter, GOP supporter.

So, which city are you wiping out first?

I think BeerGeek40 would wipe out Atlanta first because its in a red state and they were disloyal for the leader. The purge would begin in red States.

How and why ? He didn't push people further left, nor did he push people further right. The division has been building up long before Trump and Obama, it's just gotten split further apart.

I blame the media and social media for the further division, and getting some unhinged individuals to the point of violence. Had the media only focused on the positive aspects of the last four years, and not become so biased we wouldn't be where we are now.
We've always been divided, whether it was about finance, religion, or politics. And we've never seen the things we are seeing now. Now, people can stand behind a computer or cell phone screen and spew their hate for the other side without fear of being smacked upside the head. Then , the media runs constant negative news 24/7 and it just fuels people and gets them more angry.
