Why not?? - because as bad as our government is- it does not go against itself. There are always small factions, but they mostly complain over a beer. It would NOT get traction...
After the coup is reversed, those responsible will be arrested and prosecuted. Obama will be at the top of the list.

You are talking to about one hundred fifty thousand brick walls. And they won't believe you until they are up against a brick wall themselves with a rifle muzzle pointing at their face.
For the rest of us, we know. We also know that at this point we are pretty much powerless to do anything about it. It's been developing since at least the 1960, probably far earlier than that. It's a bit hard to break sixty years worth of chains. The gate was left open and the horse that used to be known as America is long gone.
