So. For anyone who wants to see how this worked out 108 years ago, look at Teddy Roosevelt's attempt to destroy the GOP in 1912 by creating his own party of screaming, fawning adorers. He ran against the GOP candidate, his former party with a new party he created. Because Roosevelt and his followers felt spurned by their party, the republicans. Same exact thing. Didn't work then, either.

The republican party trying to destroy itself will end up benefiting the democrat party, AGAIN, as it did in 1912.
