Why even bother creating new threads when this happens? Two extremist groups go out looking for a fight. They find it. Bad stuff happens. This is exactly what you would expect to happen, and is barely even news worthy at this point, since it seems to happen on a regular basis. Normal, well balanced people mostly think this is ugly and not something they would want to be associated with.
I'd say the way to settle this is organized boxing matches on the street, and let the police stand by in case any side starts doing illegal stuff. But this will never happen because pAntifa always loses when they don't have the numerical advantage, so they would not agree to a civil, adult resolution of their conflict.

So far in DC the DC Fire EMS have transported 9 people injured tonight. 4 critical stabbing patients, 1 assault victim, 2 injured police officers, and 2 others with minor injuries. And that was early in the day.
Proud boys have stolen BLM signs off churches and burned them, assaulted people, and generally just gone out looking for trouble.
So far 20 people have been arrested, on both sides, counter protestors harassed Trump protestors (And again, this is not ok, these people need to be arrested if they committed a crime by harassing folks this way, and I think flipping someone the bird is a opinion, but stealing their hat and burning it is theft, and destruction of property)
Massive brawls, and small intense brawls have occurred. Sometimes between mutual combatants, sometimes just people expressing their views. And sometimes....just because proud boys thought they might be antifa.
This of course will escalate im sure. So now some of yall are going to be on the other side of things. Looks like some of you do protest, and riot. But lets be clear. The folks who showed up for protests today? They need to be allowed to do so, we cant let this sort of nonsense interfere with their right to protest. The folks being violent? They need to go to jail.
But if police act against the peaceful Trump protestors we need to make that stop, and I hope when Biden takes office that he defends all of your rights, especially the one allowing for peaceful protest.
Given whats occurring, I think its safe to say we're seeing Trump supporters who are protesting are about to have the same issue our side has-the people who want to be violent and destructive. And while the proud boys are front and center as usual, the whole protest today is getting the same brush applied to them. Best of luck to you all, and know that I recognize that the proud boys dont represent the majority of you.
I keep telling folks the proud boys are about the violence. They dont really care about your politics as much as you think.

Now we see brutal violence and rioting at Stop the Steal rallies directed by Trump supporters against innocent bystanders and all I’m hearing from Trump on this board minions is deflection

Of course, the Trump minions return to their BS about Antifa, and their lies about BLM’s summer demonstrations “burning down cities,” and doing nothing besides looting, rioting, assaulting and murdering.
This summer saw one of the largest protest movements in American history, fueled by anger over the ongoing murder of black civilians by police. There were hundreds of peaceful demonstrations all across the country, involving hundreds of thousands of people, and yet on the right, the entire movement is characterized (and thus de-legitimized) by the actions of a few hundred opportunists who very likely do not vote and could care less about politics. These idiots and criminals burned some businesses, looted some shops, and rioted in a few high-profile instances. However, the vast majority were simply exercising their first amendment rights and protesting an issue that has been ongoing and completely ignored for decades - people, and especially black people, being murdered by police without consequence.
So now the shoe is one the other foot. At several Stop the Steal rallies, a small minority of individuals brutally beat innocent passersby and counter-protestors. Using the logic of the right-wingers on this forum, I will paint the entire Stop the Steal movement by the actions of this small minority and say that Stop the Steal is a treasonous movement of violent insurrectionists who violently attack anyone who is opposed to their views. Clearly, the Republican-backed movement is a criminal attack on democracy by violent individuals seeking to physically harm their perceived enemies
So there’s the narrative if we use right-wing tactics.
These people were not exercising their first amendment rights, and the entire movement will be judged based on the actions of Proud Boys and other fringe groups who showed up for the express purpose of fomenting violence. How does it feel to have a movement by your side reduced to the actions of the very worst among them? It’s also worth noting that the BLM protests occurred in towns and cities across America, and involved millions of people. The incidents of burning, looting, and rioting the right loves to use as descriptors for the entire movement make up a fraction of a percent of what occurred at those protests. By contrast, the Stop the Steal protests involved several thousands of individuals in a few cities, in one night. In this one night, dozens of people were severely injured after being viciously beaten by rioting Proud Boys and other extremists.
So, for those who are sick and tired of hearing the BLM movement repeatedly characterized by the criminal actions of an extremely small % of “demonstrators,” now you can do the same to describe the Stop the Steal protests.
Grey - once more - you don't do your research - the Proud Boys had just witnessed that couple beating up another person and wouldn't let them go. There is more to the video and you should know better - put your thinking cap on bud and use the brains God gave you.
Those aren't random innocent people, they were assaulting somebody.
