North American Corporate never has an issue with you taking time off on Christmas, but for some reason, taking half a day off for other cultural holidays are a issue and they don’t always approve .
I always offer them a compromise by saying “I’ll work more the week before to compensate”, but even then, it can be rather difficult to get my request through depending on the HR personnel dealing with your requests.
Again, this particular thread is about extending good wishes for the holiday...that's all. Not a national holiday or worship during work hours or anything else. Holiday salutations shouldn't be an issue for anyone.

Ain't that the truth. I'm no saint myself, but why does it seem that the loudest self-proclaimed "Christians" are often the least like Christ?

The date of Christmas was chosen centuries ago to coincide with the winter solstice and the pagan celebrations that took place around that time.

Please stop with the xenophobia. The Diversity Through Conformity Manifesto clearly states that usage of the word "Christmas" is the wrong kind of diversity.

It shouldn't be.

But for those looking to be angry about something this is an easy, if fallacious, complaint to make.
