Savvy gun owners tend not to advertise that they're armed. That's for poseurs. Like people who open carry.
We-ll, rather reminds me of my personal aura. People seem to always act around me like I am a cop, a Ranger, a Marshal, someone like that. It's just my prowess I guess.
I always figure that if I'm on an airliner that gets skyjacked, they are going to shoot me first.....just on general principle.
Here's a snapshot taken by an acquaintance who lives in Eastern TN at a diner.
I wonder how many times this place has been knocked over by criminals? I'm guessing 0.
I'm sure this will make liberals very squeamish...guns are icky and scary to them. But it also makes the criminals squeamish too!
No problem with the sign. A private business has the right to ban guns from the premises, or to allow them. If they allow them, it is nice that they make that public so that any customers that are uncomfortable with that can go elsewhere.

Agreed. But, why would someone be uncomfortable with a proven law abiding citizen, legally carrying a gun? I feel safer knowing that there are others besides me that can defend themselves and others from violence and/or death. The Cops get there only after the fact, to clean up.

I imagine those who have experienced some trauma involving firearms probably don't wish to see them strapped to anyone, but I largely agree.
You'll never know that 99.9% of people are carrying a concealed firearm. Open Carry is very, very rare, especially in urban/suburban areas.
