Her skillset should let her go to less expensive areas. But she and her peers should form a union, and get better pay especially during this Covid-19. They can use this as sign for increased demand. If the powers that be refused, then hurts their narrative of lockdown/shutdown being necessary.

Large metro areas are an exception since ambulances often are doing back to back calls the entire shift. Many calls are 'routine' that barely need medical attention at all. Interspersed are the the severe trauma calls, suicides, gunshots, strokes and heart attacks that require all the skill a medic can muster. For the responsibility, the pay is lousy in most places. Medics training equals a nurses in some aspects and exceed nurses in many. Yet medics earn about half what nurses earn.

I'll put it this way. It's the excitement of seeing the girl next door or someone you actually see. Who cares about seeing some random stranger that lives 2,000 miles away. That's the way it was explained to me. You can pay to see your local Starbucks cashier or whatever. Whatever floats your boat.
Let's assume your right. Best to her in getting a job in education, they have morality clauses. I volunteer in a mentor program for teens and had to have a background check. This 'extra gig' that this lady chose would have disqualified me from applying in the Civic service field.
Rationalize it how you wish, we do ultimately have to answer for our choices. Good ,bad, and sometimes questionable.
