Hopefully, the inmates sue and get a massive windfall of money from ultra-corrupt El Paso County.

El Paso County basically has no influence politically in Colorado anymore as it's a Trump-loving county that basically belongs in the deep South in a state that is heavily Democrat.

El Paso County has such a weak economy that is focused on government, government subsidies, government contracts that hopefully the inmates get a beautiful windfall from economically weak El Paso County.

The sheriff seems to have been very angry that his God President Trump lost, so he decided to let a COVID-19 outbreak sicken lots and lots of inmates which caused massive amounts of COVID-19 spread in his city which is full of angry people who went to Iraq and Afganistan for no reason.

The reason why extremist Bill Elder was elected sheriff is because Colorado Springs average voter is a paranoid person who went to Iraq and Afganistan for no reason and they live in a city with a very weak economy compared to Boulder, Fort Collins and Denver so they take out their fraustrations by voting for sheriff's who misallocate money.

Very corrupt sheriff who got 15 million dollars from the CARES act but let many people unconvicted of a crime suffer with COVID-19. Tremendous amounts of community outbreaks in Colorado Springs in November as the city was far worse impacted by COVID-19 compared to Denevr or Boulder this wave.

The sheriff Bill Elder in Colorado Springs matches a majority of Colorado Springs residents.

Many of the cities residents are paranoid far right-wingers and members of extremist groups because they signed up to go to Afganistan and Iraq for no reason. Now, they live in extremist Colorado Springs and vote for far-right politicians who hate the constitution.

Corrupt-Colorado Springs really was impacted by this latest round of COVID-19 with some days reporting as many COVID-19 deaths as 48 which is alot for such a small city.

Much of the reason why Colorado Springs has had such a hard time compared to Boulder, Fort Collins, mountain resort communities is because of the sheriff's superspreading jail

Why don't we stop the nonsense of prisons and jails and just let everyone out? The Left is poised to be in charge of everything when they win Georgia so why not defund and disband the Police and the prison system? After all most of the people that are in prisons today are innocent black and brown people that were railroaded by the white mans establishment.

Let em all go. What could possibly go wrong in the new Liberal utopia they have planned for us?

what's going in in this county if the "vast majority" of 1,200 inmates are in pretrial detention because they couldn't post bond?

So let a 0.14% mortality rate virus run it's course? They probably have a higher chance of getting stabbed by their cellmate.

The sheriff in El Paso County got 15 million dollars from the CARES act and yet inmates didn't have masks because the Colorado Springs sheriff was trying to make a political statement.

I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't provide face coverings to inmates because Biden won.

Colorado Springs is powerless at the state level, so they elect the further right politicians they can at the local level.

The mayor of Colorado Springs John Suthers is a Republican who has made many statements in media not taking COVID-19 seriously and is a member of the far-right.

Many of those young inmates were released from jail and went back to reside in crowded multi-generational households which is quite common in Southern Colorado Springs because it's an expensive city with very high housing costs.

Interesting how partly because of the Republican Sheriff in Colorado Springs negligence in the COVID-19 outbreak in his jails that Colorado Springs peaked with 290+ hospitalizations this last wave compared to 230 in much, much larger Denver.

I wonder how much community spread spread throughout Colorado Springs because of the sheriff's COVID-19 jail. His office recieved 15 million dollars to prevent to spread and yet his inmates weren't able to have the dignity of a mask because the sheriff is trying to make a political statement by denying inmates in his custody masks.

And why are they stuck there? Who made that bad choice?

There are very good Republicans in New England, Charlie Baker is a first-class governor and is a Republican.

The Republicans on Cape Cod and your state of Massachusetts are pragmatic, sensible and moderate. Republicans in Massachusetts would laugh at Colorado Springs Republicans and quite honestly they would laugh at many other states Republicans also.

I always like it when people from the New England who are conservative respond because they are still very logical and pragmatic.

Cities like Colorado Springs know they are powerless at the state level so they vote for the most vocal, most far-right politician the can to make a political statement.

Many Colorado Springs residents also seem to have sour grapes because there community is economically failing compared to Boulder, Fort Collins and Denver which causes them to have vote for far-right people.

Massachusetts would laugh at the politicians that Colorado Springs elects though.

Massachusetts doesn't lock up alot, they use the jails and prisons sparingly and don't crowd and your state is one of the safest states in America with an extremely low jail and prison population per capita.

Many of those inmates were there a few days and let out into the community with COVID-19 hanging out at grocery stores, big-box retailers trying to stay warm.

The average stay in a jail is about 10 days so many, many were let lout infectious and many inmates are younger so they just went to Colorado Springs grocery stores, Colorado Springs buses, Colorado Springs big-box stores contagious with COVID-19.

Many of them rode buses to stay warm also when they left.

Many of the COVID-19 infected inmates were there a few days and then left so hence lots of community spread.

Thanks to their jail outbreak in Colorado Springs they have been a restrictive tier and the massive tourism and hospitality industry is losing a fortune and many, many workers won't be able to buy Christmas presents for their families.

Colorado Springs hospitals started filling and had far, far higher numbers then Denver about two weeks after the jail outbreak.

Many, many Colorado Springs businesses had to furlough their employees because the sheriff decided to make a political statement and not provide inmates with good face coverings hence the massive, massive outbreak that overwhelmed Colorado Springs far, far, far more than Denver this last wave.

Colorado Springs is mainly a tourism, hospitality and government economy.

They had a very low case rate there relative to other places before the sheriff decided to let the COVID-19 spread, even though his office got 15 million through the CARES act to prevent a superspreading event.
