Pathetic and the sticking points over lawsuit protection for businesses should be a separate issue so that the stimulus checks can be sent out. Get this done, put other differences aside.

Do you support mandated business closures and forced unemployment (a.k.a. lockdowns and bans?)

It's a negotiating tactic to take things to the brink of catastrophe to try and force a concession from your opponent. We're now in a political world of the zero-sum game where there's only a winner and a loser, so both sides battle hard for the win.

Why food banks as opposed to food stamps, and there everyone just go to supermarket? This way, be less lines. All the supermarkets are still stocked with fresh food. I dont get the system.

Maybe the hungry can ask Lakewood church and Joel Osteen for groceries.

That bunch got 4.4 million. Guess Joel couldn't make the payroll.

Frank, I think we should throw away our masks, send out kids to school, open businesses and run around infecting each other in every possible way.

Who cares if the health care workers are burnt out and exhausted???

This is America.

It's my right to go anywhere I want and do anything I want --

even if there's a world wide pandemic and over 300,000 Americans have already died from it.

This was at Thanksgiving.... a month later and still nothing.

The lines are longer, now.

The richest nation in the world.

I wonder if these fine Senators had food on their tables at Thanksgiving??

Wonder if they've got presents under their trees???

Presents paid for by taxpayer dollars..

^ shows South Florida and Texas.

Has either of these states imposed restrictions that would cause thousands to show for food?

One woman interviewed said she was laid off last December ( pre Covid) and her unemployment benefit is exhausted.

I get Florida which is highly dependent on tourism. The “open and they will come” strategy has not worked as well as expected.

What’s going on in Texas?

You can't keep printing money forever. We are really destroying our children's future. Maybe the very rich can donate some money for a change and people can just chip in if they can.
