How's that for a vote of confidence? The CEO doesn't have confidence in his own product. Or perhaps he really does care for humanity and wants to save his dose for others, just like the WH staff. The vaccine has caused some cases of Bell's Palsy, paralysis of the facial muscles, in trial participants. Even though this side effect has been described as minor by the drug companies, Bell's Palsy can recur.

Isn't it heartwarming to see the left and right come together this way behind anti-vax fear and loathing?

At first I thought Pfizer was considering donating the vaccine to the public domain after reading the thread title. Then I realized it was another anti-vaxxing thread and my heart sank back into place.

As a rich business man, why would he try it when there are lots of willing guinea pigs to test it out? He'd have uber health care anyway, so really no need to even be vaccinated. It's all win-win for him.

People will believe what they will. If he got the shot live on camera there would still be people who said he got injected with a placebo.

I can't wait to get the vaccine.

For those of you who believe I'm an anti-vaxxer, I'm anything but. I participated in a long term anthrax vaccine study and the trial doctors had problems getting participants because they were so afraid of the idea of anthrax. I work in healthcare and have a couple of science degrees. I believe in science and science takes time. Science can't be rushed no matter how serious a disease is. I'll take the vaccine maybe after I see its effects on others. But it is still experimental. It hasn't even gone through normal FDA approval channels. The government can say it's safe a million times, but no one knows what the long term effects are.

So what point are you trying to make then? The man is obviously virtue signalling his goodness by waiting his turn. He would be excoriated by the usual suspects if he jumped the queue.

More of the Bell’s palsy BS. Unless there’s new information, it was 4 cases out of 40,000+ with two cases weeks after the vaccine. The study said there wasn’t conclusive evidence the vaccine caused it. In fact, the medical community doesn’t know what causes Bell’s palsy, which usually resolves on its own.

But hey, fear monger away.
