Obviously we've gotten socialism/communism from everyone from John Dewey to FDR to Obama (and now Biden). We have a ton of entitlements and benefits for everyone from the disabled to illegals.

On the flip side, we've been having corporate welfare and public private partnerships since the time of Alexander Hamilton (It's been getting a lot worse since Dishonest Abe became President.)

Even the public school system everyone bashes as Communist was actually originally created by the fascist Horace Mann after Fascist Prussia's school system and first started (at literal gunpoint) in Massachusetts and later spread into the North and later into the South after Abe Lincoln's War during "Reconstruction".

Also, let's not forget how the government helped prop up guys like Google and Palantir with CIA money via outlets like In-Q-Tel, and how they also are even now declaring businesses "essential" and "nonessential" and propping up Big Businesses like Menards, Walmart, and Amazon while destroying record numbers of small and medium-sized businesses.

And let's not forget the fascist Federal Reserve.

Hmm... what country would be a better alternative? Gotta have some sort of social support system within reason and some way to keep the masses under control.

I ask myself this when I complain about the federal reserve and the elites and the corruption... what we are trying to do is fight human nature here... There's no ideal solution.

I'd rather live here or in Europe than in Africa or the middle east or China. You're always going to have groups of people who band together and scratch each's others back... it's literally wired into our biology to group together into like minded groups and protect our tribe.

We need to teach people to fish, rather than give them fish though.

I watched this episode today and thought about the "free stuff" crowd. I love the "Rumsfeld" reference. haha.

I recently read a book entitled, "Social Democracy in the Making: Political and Religious Roots of European Socialism". I would highly recommend it. The book dealt with socialism and social democracy movements only in the UK and Germany, but the overall picture is clear even in the US: Essentially everything that the socialists (or at least the social democracy advocates) wanted in the latter half of the 1800's and first decade or two of the 1900's has come to fruition. We are living, right now, in what the socialists back then could only dream of.

No, I am not talking about the ones who wanted to overthrow capitalism (a desire which, if you read the book, was largely given up by the 1890's or so, except for the hard-core communists). I'm talking about the welfare state most of them desired.

So those who claim (usually complaining) that the US is already socialist do have a point, from a certain historical perspective.

Actually, it's more complicated than that, as the industrial fascists/bankers/Robber Barons have funded the socialists/communists since at least the time of the Bolsheviks. It's always an action/reaction with these globalists.

For instance, they probably funded the Commies across the globe on the one hand and then with their creation, the CIA, created a bunch of surveillance measures and tech and military weapons under the guise of fighting them. Since that worked so well, they continued the program by funding Islamic terrorists and then creating stuff like the PATRIOT Act to "fight" it.

They did the same thing with funding the Nazis and staging WWII to bring about the United Nations as well as the nation of Israel (the Brits and the bankers created that country, call me an anti-Semite all you want, but they paid the dough for the land and everything and still do meddle there a LOT.)

So a lot of the riots in the streets, socialistic policies, etc, could ultimately be the work of rich guys like Gates, Zuckerberg, Soros, rather than clowns like Biden or Sanders or kids who live in their parents's basement and like to go riot for fun as they hate cops and like free stuff.

After all, if the problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money, the fact that it's lasted so long shows that some people must have very deep pockets (in addition to looting ours) to keep it around so long and from dying off like the Soviet Union did.

Is the US a socialist/communist country or a fascistic one?

Depends on which socialist/communist/fascist liberal you ask.

Gee, you have no idea what socialism and communism mean, do you?
The US is the opposite of both. And yes, I do think the US has always been a bit fascist.

Yikes at the misinformation

Having programs to benefit citizens thru taxation is not socialism or communism, which is where the government owns businesses/means of production. You guys really need to informed and stop getting brainwashed from your news source,

Now if you wanna talk about fascism, an example would be trying to overthrow an election to maintain your power like Trump is doing.
