I see where the Sheriff in Santa Rose County, FL is actually encouraging his citizens to take the Sheriff Department's gun safety lessons and claims that people will learn to shoot better in them. This comes after a homeowner shot at, and missed, a home invader. " 'If someone's breaking into your house, you're more than welcome to shoot them in Santa Rosa County,' Sheriff [sic] Johnson said. 'We prefer that you do, actually'.
We need more law enforcement leaders like this to combat the never-ending revolving doors of justice.

The main theme is that responsible gun owners receive training on target aim.

Unless you're a sharp shooter and can hit your moving target consistently, a gun course is more likely then not going to give you experience.

The rest of that sheriffs' rant of killing is unnecessary .

What makes you think the Sheriff was advocating Killing ?

The article made it sound like it would have been better if the homeowner had been a better shot and killed the guy. That would maybe have been a better outcome from his perspective as a Sheriff but it wouldn't have been better for the homeowner. There are serious consequences for anyone who kills someone even if it ends up being deemed as lawfully justified. For all we know the guy being robbed didn't want to kill someone and just wanted him out of his house

Because he suggested a resolved situation would have been better if the criminal had died instead of scared off and arrested.

It's not rocket science. Even Joe Biden can figure it out, and he's braindead. If you have a shotgun, you don't even need to be a good shot. You're bound to hit something with all that spray, which is why shotguns are so popular for home defense. Even Joe Biden has one, and as mentioned, he is braindead, but it didn't stop him.

I've seen plenty of videos of people shooting a gun improperly, and still neutralizing their targets. Did you ever see gangbangers shooting their gun sideways? Dumb as all hell, but if they shoot enough, they likely will eventually hit their target.

When it comes to anything, there will always be people who will fail to read the instructions, fail to take the proper training, fail to fully master the use of the item in question.... That's just life. It doesn't mean diddly squat for the rest of us.

I 100% support anyone’s right to blast an intruder who enters your home unlawfully. If enough people get blasted, home invasions will become a thing of the past, guaranteed.

It’s time we stop being stupid as a country.

yep and i have a cousin who was my best friend growing up who became an addict and robbed peoples homes for drug money. If he was ever shot while doing so I would not have been the slightest bit angry at the person who did so. I would mourn the kid he was and not the druggie he became. The vast majority of crimes, especially violent, are being done by the same small group of people who keep getting back on the streets. It has to stop or society will end. It is already hitting a point that stopping it will be difficult indeed.

If you kill them, they can't testify against you in civil court later.

Most cases of murder charges are not handled in civil court. The criminal court is usually responsible for those cases..

Mind you , the stand your ground and self defense in ones home is an absolute get out of any legal ramifications reward.

Again, responsible gun ownership, safety and proficiency may be the smart way to handle an intruder.
I prefer to disarm, incapacitate them and let them serve a sentence. Blow off one arm and let lefty lewie count to five
