Many Trump loyalists sore from Georgia not handing Trump the election are saying they will sit out the Georgia election to spite establishment Republicans.
I think its hilarious and hope they succeed what say you?
Trump's idiocy is all fun and games until this BS costs the GOP those senate seats they SHOULD easily win in Georgia.
Their worst nightmare is about to come true. Gridlock is the best they can hope for at this point. By sitting out, these gullible morons will hand over the keys to the kingdom over to the libs and screw over conservatives across the entire nation...all for Trump vanity.
I doubt it. Rs in Georgia always gain a couple of points in runoffs- or more accurately, they do not see their voting #s decline from general election to run off as much as Democrats. So if 3-4% of them stay home that would be equals to their typical turnout advantage and would simply tighten the race. Perdue had right below a 2% advantage in the initial vote. Loeffler/Warnock had about 6 other candidates on the ballot so that race is not as clear.
I'm not sure Dems can make it over the finish line this year but the Loeffler seat is up again in 2022 and Purdue's seat in 2026. By 2026, I expect Ga to be voting Dem based on in migration and Demographics. I'm not sure there will be adequate numbers for that to happen in 2022 but for it to go from solid R to certifiable swing state in one presidential cycle is pretty wild.
Speaking of Georgia elections, the amount of money spent on commericals for the candidates, boggles the mind. We haven`t been watching the shows we like, it is to miserable, listening to Warnock. Can`t wait for it to be over. Warnock makes me ill.
The only thing that keeps one party or the other from completely running amuck in Washington, are checks and balances between the Executive, House and Senate. Some call it 'gridlock' or 'obstruction,' but, it ensures that at least somebody is minding the store!
IMO, we've clearly seen that career politicians in Washington cannot be trusted to serve the interests of the American people. Having a majority in the Executive/House/Senate will get real ugly, real fast, since the monolithic beast is prone to vote 100% one-way or the other.
If either the R's or D's want to keep the radical D's/R's from having even more influence than they do now, it's in the best interest of both to maintain those checks and balances. The alternative is term limits to periodically eliminate the career politicians, but, that's unlikely to happen.
