Well other then the fact that we've used this mRNA method for years now, and its saved lives. But by far the vast majority of medical people I know only have one question-when can they get it.
320K dead...so far. Its been tested on tens of thousands, and worked well. Rushed? sure a little. but that doesn't mean its not the best choice.
Healthcare workers routinely would turn down the flu vaccine too....until certain states mandated it for you to be able to work or wear a mask all the time while working.
Now you have to wear a mask all day long anyway, even if you take the vaccine.
I don't think it is unusual that a certain percentage of healthcare workers (or anyone) would like to wait a little bit to see how the vaccine is tolerated before stepping up to get the shot.

What else have we used this mRNA method for in humans?
mRNA is very safe because it can be targeted to directly fight the part of the virus that causes infection. It is thus much less likely to carry baggage that other systems bring to those with immune system disfunction. With social media spread among the uneducated we go from that simple statement to crazy videos being shared that this alters our DNA. As if these halfwits even know what RNA is...
My wife is an RN and got her vaccine yesterday. No complications, no side effects except for a sore arm. I'd prefer the Moderna over Pfizer but will get either one as soon as I can.
We got an email from my hospital system that we only got 14,000 vaccines for 23,000 high risk hospital workers who want the vaccine. So the remaining 9,000 will have to wait until the next allotment on January 4th and get it along with the medium risk workers.
I don't personally know any physicians who are not going to be vaccinated. I have heard a few nurses, techs, and janitorial staff talking about not getting vaccinated, but no doctors.
