People keep complaining about simple precautions, like urgings to wear a mask.

But here are some consequences elsewhere, as a comparison.

So the message here is in two parts....first is that some countries with less freedom than the US have stricter restrictions. Second message here is that people around the world HATE the rona lockdowns and restrictions. They are being disobeyed everywhere as they should.

People in general don't like being told what to do, especially by politicians. There are too many conflicting opinions even by the so-called experts. Even with lockdowns the virus still surged. All the lockdowns do is destroy small businesses and jobs.

If people were just encouraged to wear masks, social distance, and avoid large crowds, that's about all you can do until more people get the vaccine. I don't believe this will get any better until late 2021 or early 2022 if we're lucky and there isn't something else that comes along to add to the misery.

I completely agree with your assessment. The one thing the government can do is mobilize the drug companies to manufacture more vaccine. The faster we pump out vaccine the sooner it’s over. Can we open new plants? Can it be made faster? These are the things the federal government should consider. Can the national gaurd or even military be used to distribute the vaccine quickly? This is the type of thing I want to see our government doing.

Your absolutely correct regarding the lockdowns and their damage to the economy and small businesses. This is wrong and even unconstitutional in my opinion.

They’re all tyrants.

Why do you folks like to rank them?

To use as some sort of measuring stick --- similar as to the one the tyrants are using to beat 'em over the head with. (not original thought comment, but a derivative of george carlin "obedient workers" skit)

But those other countries didn't endorse mass protests with rioting and claim that thousands of strangers screaming in the streets don't spread Covid. The reason U.S. could never do a lockdown is certain leftist groups are protected from the rules: the liberal elitists and the thugs. They are always exempt and will continue to spread Covid no matter how much you lock down the middle class. The powers that be in leftist states and cities will always blame hard working business owners and small gatherings for Covid spread and turn their head the other way with what goes in with the exempt group. Trying to lockdown the virus won't work here and will just destroy the middle class. It can only work in smaller countries where people cooperate as a united group.
