The Senate has left. Trump leaves for Mar-a-Lago. Today is Barr’s last day.

Unless resolved next week, the Federal Government will shut down in the midst of a global pandemic. Imagine this could impact Covid vaccines.

Who knows? Maybe this is the plan.
We get that fear mongering threat every year now it seems.

This is why all of his businesses failed. Trump is being ridiculous.

He might be trying to grift some more funds for his personal fund from the crafty politicians and their contributors.
He is merely posturing.

Politicians and people do that all the time.

They know they're not going to get something and they may not necessarily want it, but they make a big noise that the stimulus bill wasn't big enough or didn't include a bigger check. It is part of his attempt to appear like a populist than the grifter that he really is.

He could've asked them to cut the PPP so that stimulus checks would be double. He and other politicians personally benefited from the handouts in the PPP program in the first round. Better to get several $ 100,0000 checks than one $ 600 check.

Trump should call all of these bozos back to DC and make them put together a covid relief bill that is America First.

They work for us and I say they should be working overtime on Christmas day if they have to.

What a bunch of uncaring bums that have lost touch.

What do you people who oppose this bill think the $2T bill earlier in the year was?

Trump maybe right but he has gone about this all wrong. Trump pulled Mnuchin out from the negotiations earlier this month. Then in literally the 11th hour when the bill passes both houses and Mnuchin is working to get checks out the door for next week, Trump NOW says that the checks should be bigger. Where in the actual Hell was Trump during negotiations to get this? Congress compromised because he was not in the picture and that was how we got the $600. The bill was also tied to the omnibus keep the government open budget which is why there is the "outrageous spending" everyone speaks of.

As part of the $900 billion coronavirus relief package it passed late Monday, Congress is set to allow mixed-status households with undocumented family members to receive stimulus checks that they were denied under the first round of legislation in the spring.

Under the bipartisan agreement, U.S. citizens and green card holders will be able to receive $600 in direct aid, even if they filed a joint tax return with an undocumented spouse, as well as additional $600 checks per dependent child, according to congressional aides and the text of the legislation.

The new compromise would also retroactively make mixed-status families with one Social Security number-holder eligible for the $1,200 per household and $500 per child checks allocated by the CARES Act, which was enacted in late March.

How the hello the Stimulus and 2021 Appropriations were meshed is beyond me, other than there was no agreement within each chamber, let alone across party lines.

Trump conflated the Stimulus and Appropriations. Was this intentional or was he unaware?

6 Republican Senators voted against the combined bill. Here is Senator Johnson/ Wisconsin who just 5 days ago, opposed $1200 direct payments, pitched by another Republican Senator.

As that day wore on, Johnson again blocked a $1200 direct Stimulus payment.

Exactly. Cake eater Johnson and Paul are why we had the smaller checks on top of Trump being absent. You really think that Johnson and Paul are gonna vote this bill, no. Hell, throw in Lee and that is at least three.

You're wrong. As much as I do hate specific members of Congress for torpedoing the direct payments down to the drop in the bucket $600 number (CNBC said it isn't HAH!), they were involved in negotiations and did their damn job. The President who was absent in the most recent weeks of this, so much so that Sec. Mnuchin thought Trump was on-board enough to get checks out the door hours prior to Trump signalling he wanted to veto the bill. Not because of the tacked on spending onmibus, but the checks were too small. Congress did theor's Trump couldn't do his.

More than a disgrace, it is a treacherous mechanism, it is a treacherous mechanism in full agreement by the "representatives" of the people to impoverish and annihilate us before the forces of the overwhelming communist terrorist world of China, Iran and the predatory forces of the new world order.
Is not time to sugar coat. It is time to call things by their names !
