Why did you waste all that time trying to prove how horrible things are in California, look what's going on in your own backyard

California is a liberal-made cesspool and the freak show of America.

Who cares if people die of homicide related to lockdowns, so long as they aren't dying of COVID.

Signed,
Democrats

If 100 people die of lockdown related causes, it's all worth it to save that one extra life that would have died of Covid. Protests had no role in the spread of Covid because it's so woke that it knows not so spread even if thousands of strangers are screaming right next to each other. Let the protesters burn down businesses but arrest the productive citizens that try to open them.

Signed Governor Newsom.

Who needs police? Who needs bail to release arrested suspects? Who needs jail for minor crimes?

Let it burn.

I can't leave California soon enough. Stupid Covid shutdowns have kept me in CA or I would already have moved last summer. Yes, I know I could move "sight unseen", but I really want to at least scout the cities I am considering. That is the entire reason that brought me to City Data in the first place -- laying groundwork for my retirement move to the east coast this year (2020). Next summer will have to do.

The murder rate in El Salvador has dropped by a staggering amount. Perhaps MS-13 has found it easier to operate in California? Sure looks like it. But Democrats don’t care, MS-13 members vote too. Whether they are US citizens or not.

Phoenix? California city light: Democrat Mayor and Democrat Police Chief, of course they have California murder rate. My working class all Republican run Arizona city, had 1 murder year to date, and it's twice the population of Vellejo which had 29 murders

I don't understand how the virus has kept you from moving.

"but I really want to at least scout the cities I am considering" What is stopping you?
