Yup..the one Bush singlehandedly created that toppled the entire world's economic bubble. He made Greece fall first so all eyes wouldn't be on him when the US RE bubble burst
lol. yall cant figure out who to blame can you? The world, or the democratic senate? Heres the thing, theres enough for all of those here. But none of you can claim that Obama walked into a good situation, unlike Trump.

All I was saying is that ole Joe ain't claiming anything new.
... that was created by the Democratic congress an their housing policies.
Yes, and that shows how dangerous it is to try to make everyone “equal.” The Dems wanted everyone, including high school graduates working as waitresses and retail clerks, to be able to buy their own house - just like college-educated professionals can. Enter the “no-doc” and subprime loans, and voila! - a cocktail waitress earning $35,000 can buy a $400,000 house.

What can possibly go wrong?
Well we don't talk about that part. We only talk about how Bush was President when that RE Ponzi scheme burst.

Soo..the world economic collapse was...all our fault and our housing? LOL. Another poster quite reasonably pointed to that, but still missing the point, the last couple democrats have been handed disasters, and as Obama pointed out when he was being blamed for something that wasn't his fault in my opinion...."The buck stops here". Because he appointed those responsible for it.
And oh the horror, someone might try and buy a house, how dare they, they need to know their place!

Do you seriously believe that the no doc and no income verification loans were a good thing? They caused people to go into foreclosure soon afterwards and caused the real estate market crash in this country. And add to that, no down payment necessary!
And of course Trump claimed he inherited "a mess" from Obama even when there wasn't one.
Obama had the worst recovery after a recession in the history of our country. He told us that a 1-2% GDP was the new normal, and we had better get used to it. He said that Trump could do no better, he asked if Trump had a magic wand, because that's the only way the economy would do better, or jobs would be brought back. Yeah, well, soon afterwards, the GDP was 4.25. Guess that wand worked.

Fun fact, lower income folks were for the most part forced out of the housing market as housing prices rapidly exceeded their incomes even for no doc no income verification loans.
Heres a simple comparison for you, in 2003 71% of delinquent mortgages were held by subprime mortgages, in 2006 it was down to 39%. Simply put the sub prime mortgages weren't enough to kick off the economic collapse we saw.
Its a LOT more complex then that, and over simplifying it leads to people believing myths like yours.

What’s with this feigned outrage about how “they need to know their place.”? YES.....people earning $35,000 need to know they can’t buy a $400,000 home. High school graduates earning $12 an hour need to know they can’t buy ANY home.
What’s with this entitled attitude? If people want to earn enough to buy their own home, they need to at least go to community college or a trade school where they will prepare for a job that might enable them to buy a little 1950s rambler in the suburbs. If they want a nicer or newer house, then they need to go to college at nights while working so they can get a better paying job.
