I agree that lyrics like that are problematic, and the traditionally misogynistic genre of hip hop won’t be fixed by female rappers putting down those who weren’t born with the size they deem acceptable. It’s also fair to say that Cardi B isn’t the first female artist to sing or rap about their preference for big ones. It’s a cultural trope reinforced by porn, film, and popular culture: if you’re not hung, you’re not desirable.
It’s one thing for women to celebrate their sexuality, but I don’t think it’s very cool to send the message that only men with hogs can please a woman. Men have certainly sung and rapped worse about women’s bodies, but joining in isn’t the way to correct pop music’s misogynist history.
