Just stay put in which many do anyway.
People want better schools and other services, as the population increases then infrastructure needs to follow along with many other things. So spare me the "control everything" nonsense.

The changes in Georgia, North Carolina and Texas are because of population growth and migration from other states.

Then why Migrate from New York when the socialist powers like senator Chuck Schumer NY say they are going to " change " all America to be identical images of New York in terms Infrastructure, schools , other services .
Why flee a state of affairs exactly what you are going to arrive at, once the the plan to change America is complete ?

Well, all they need to do is pick one or two cities in a state. Most likely they first pick the city that has the state's university located and use the university as the means to flood the area with out of state students and sometimes even out of country students. They graduate and then are located in the vicinity of the capital of that state where they begin to build their numbers up in not only one but two major cities. Then all they have to do is run for state positions or practice law in the courts and they can literally transform a state's political standing just by controlling one or two districts and flooding them with transplants. This is how they will get control of Texas. They are also already working on Montana. It's amazing what they can do when they are backed by rich elitists like Bill Gates, George Soros, Michael Bloomberg, and Hollywood.

Moving to Florida is a story that will end in very salty tears as the ocean rises.

People relocate to the area because of work not taxes, not political ideology that's just another myth the right likes to circulate as they make it sound like an invasion of "those people". Many like living in an urban environment and to them its not a rat race just as others like a more rural setting that's their choice.

Uh, the reason for this is because companies will leave a city or state because of high taxes and relocate to an area with low taxes. This in turn have people move from high tax havens to where the work located.

But mind you, most retired people will also relocate to low tax areas. And make no mistake, people are fleeing NY for Florida and from California to Texas because of the high taxes, regulations and cost of living.

I try to remove the retirees when responding because relocating for a lower COL and warm weather has been the norm for over half a century.

So lets see if I have this straight, its wrong when companies relocate out of the country because it takes the jobs with them but now its wrong when the companies relocated to lower COL areas because they bring workers with them. Better the company stays in the USA although after Covid I think we will see a greater percentage continuing to tele-commute and the need for a central location reduced. I can't comment much over California but New Yorker's head south when their jobs require it or retirement otherwise they tend to stay in the NY Metro area. As New York is not just a city its actually the upstate areas that have bled people because the jobs are no longer, no different than other migrations over the last century that have relocated significant amounts of people from South to North to West to South, etc...

West Virginia has been dealing with economic problems since the 1960s. West Virginia had 2,005,552 in 1950. That is the one and only time the population was or above 2 million people. In between Rust Belt economics and the Appalachian coal industry declining, West Virginia has been hurting for a long time. And then consider that drugs are a big issue in West Virginia. WV has had issues long before 2008.

Manny retirees in addition to those looking for more affordable homes, nothing magical, no conspiracy just economics. What do you expect to happen as population increases in previously rural areas. Why are you against decent schools, roads and other services.

Not only that, there is also weather. Many retirees leaving northern states are moving to warmer places in the South. Florida is among them.
