Activist dismayed 'affluent black kids are demanding lowered standards,' not equal treatment
Civil rights activist Carol Swain, who was just named to President Trump's "1776 Commission" to teach American heritage, told Just the News this week she is dismayed that "affluent black kids are demanding lowered standards" instead of equal treatment under the law.
Swain, a prominent African-American social and political commentator, said she's also horrified that left-leaning activists today are dismissing time-tested social virtues and institutions like punctuality, proper grammar, the nuclear family, diligence and perseverance as examples of "whiteness" or "white-dominant culture." ...
The lefty progressive crowd are a bunch of pinhead.
Speaking correct English and punctuality is now tainted because it's too white?
Bunch of nonsense.
Lazy people wanting to get their degree just because they paid for it. This the same as Hillary Clinton and her activist friends demanding that Yale get rid of grades and make the classes "Pass/Fail".
It is anti-science to deny all of the studies globally that show that single parent kids are significantly more likely to have worse life outcomes across the board - even if you adjust for race, location, and socio-economic status. Woke culture is a cancer that will destroy us.

That’s because blacks do worse, on average, than whites in these elite liberal institutions, and not surprisingly. After all, if blacks with a B average and a semi-decent SAT are in the same classes as whites with an A average and excellent SATs, it would stand to reason that blacks would do worse in class than whites. (The 1/3rd of blacks whose grades and scores were so high that they would have been admitted even if they were white do as well as whites, again not surprisingly. The 2/3 admitted under AA standards do worse.)
The reason to abolish grades is to hide this fact.
This is typical isn't it? Trump tried to give people opportunity to people from all backgrounds to live their dreams but it wasn't for free. Trump knew that people were better off earning something than to be given a handout and he was beaten for it. The Democrats want to give everyone free college while lowering the standards for all across the board.
The Dems want affirmative action.
The country is getting lazy and more and more are looking for excuses to shirk their personal responsibilities and the Dems are allowing it.
Swain is a "boot strap black." Poverty blah blah blah...abuse blah blah blah... academia blah blah blah...Trump supporter blah blah blah. These type of black people want special treatment from the African American people who see nothing special about their background. So they defect to the open arms of white conservatives who will over romanticize their black experience as being unique when it is in fact pretty typical.
They can't be satisfied. They think black people are being held back by they way the talk, social skills, poor morals and criminal behavior. They don't dare make the same complaint about poor white southerners. When you single out a black person who is intelligent, highly educated, who "talks white," and who has a solid family background who is still not achieving what his white counterparts have achieved, they say he is unmotivated.
I think affluent black students, who are already starting life with a lead, should be willing to give their seats to a poor but bright white kid from Appalachia (assuming the wealthy black scores the same or even moderately better than the poor white).
